Banwarilal Bhalotia College Asansol's Admission Process for B.A

I am studying BA Hindi Honors in Banwarilal Bhalotia College, Asansol. I am in 2nd year of college right now, and my overall experience till now, is great. From academics perspective, the teachers are really nice & helpful and classes are taken on the regular basis. We have to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in our college in order to be eligible for exams. Our final semester exams are now taken at home center only. We also have annual fests in our college, in which various types of activities are there, such as our college invites famous singers to perform in the fest; various stalls are made by students and many more. I would recommend students to join our college, because it's good and budget friendly as well.

I have taken BA Hindi Honors, and it is a very common course. I chose it because I scored good marks in Hindi in my 12th boards. Basically, the eligibility criteria for this course is that you must have studied Hindi and scored minimum 60% in Hindi, in your 12th boards. Talking about the admission process, I took direct admission and the process was smooth. For it, I had to fill an admission form and verify all my academic documents. My course is distributed in semesters and we have final exams every semester. In each semester, there is an internal exam taken before finals as well. Future of this course is not vast, but I would say, it is a great course, if you are interested in learning the Hindi language deeply.

For my course, the total fee is Rs. 4,380. Our college is very budget friendly and it was one of the reasons why I enrolled here.

The teachers of Hindi department are really good and helpful to us. The faculty members have done at least post graduation, and some of them have done PhD as well. The teaching method varies by teacher, but so far, I have not had any difficulty studying there. One does not require any tuition because everything is covered by our faculty members, so it is not needed. In our college, mostly blackboards are used for teaching, and it is a very classical teaching method. Number of teachers is enough, because we have different teachers for each subject. Overall, I would say that teachers are really nice and approachable, we can directly go and ask any doubt in the faculty room itself, and they will solve our problem.

Our college does not have any placement cell as of now, because all courses offered here are graduation level courses, not technical courses like engineering.

Our college provides hostel for both male and female students. I don’t have much information about hostel because I am a day scholar.

Banwarilal Bhalotia College, Asansol is very spacious. It has play grounds as well. The buildings and blocks are different for each course offered here. Classrooms are normal sized, not too fancy. We also have two libraries, and one seminar hall here. Different canteens are available in our campus, so there is not an issue of food. I personally like the whole campus of our college, because it seems very organized and beautiful, and there is a lawn where we can sit and spend our time.

My overall experience of campus life till now is awesome. I have made many friends and we all hang out in our campus, like in canteens, in play grounds, etc. Crowd is always there, no matter what occasion it is. We have a lot of different courses, that's why the amount of students coming college is also high. I am enrolled in NCC, as our college provides training for that, and in it we go for camps as well. Sports events are also organized in our college. Mainly fests are famous among students.
