Affordable Legal Education at KES Law College in Mumbai

KES Shri Jayantilal H. Patel Law College is different from various other law Colleges as here practical knowledge is imparted more than theory. We don't have mandatory classes so we can intern and just produce the proof and we get relaxation from the classes. I have had an attendance of 30% as I was interning with a Criminal Law Litigation firm with full freedom So, one can learn with freedom at our College and this is the biggest differentiator on why I have chosen this College.

Since I have just completed my course, all I can say is that, the academics here were a complete carnage. CET top scorers get admission here, as after GLC, our College is the second best law College in Mumbai. Academics here were a statement win, as past three years were full law subjects here. From Taxation, To Labor Law To Investment And Security Law, we had them all. One elective of our choice was granted every semester and mine was Criminal Law. Overall, I have witnessed legendary academic teaching here. Subjects like Intellect Property, Criminal Laws, etc. are taught and are easy to learn. My field is Criminal Law Litigation, and for almost two years now,

KES Shri Jayantilal H. Patel Law College is the most economical law College as fees is just Rs. 20,000 a year. So, on affordability front, our College is perhaps the best law College in Mumbai.

I think I have lost my voice, lost my thoughts on how supportive our faculties were. When you see faculties of this quality, you are always excited, and this is the reason I am cheering for them. Every year, Mumbai University toppers have come out from our College, and that tells you about the effort that our faculties have put in. Every College has quality faculties and nobody can deny that but it's the execution part where I feel our faculties are winning.

In Law Colleges in general, placements are sparse and so is the case in our College. But some students have got placements in top litigation firms like Trilegal, AZB, and Khaitan to name a few.

Our College doesn’t have a hostel of its own.

As per Mumbai's standards our College is a great example of how to make maximum use of space. Our stretched academic block has the best classrooms. Entire academic block is centrally air-conditioned and library has a comfortable reading atmosphere. There is a small playground ahead of the building, and from Volleyball to Cricket, one will find students playing some sport or the other. An indoor sports room is there in the academic block. And for safety purposes there is a small clinic too.

Because we had a moot room in our College, many moot competitions were held at our campus. One can go and check any law College and they will see students under pressure, but at our campus, the pressure is released as we have so many fun activities. Every year from freshers to our annual legal fest ‘Astraea’, we have events in contention. Events are a regular occurrence and so is the ample fun in the campus. Now when I look back I feel like, I should have spent more time at the campus than at the internships.
