My View of NIT Warangal

Overall Rating
My experience in this institute is very good. I found a good environment here. The main reason I chose this institute is the NIRF Ranking of this institute. Many relatives of mine recommended me this institute. I spoke to the seniors before joining NIT Warangal and they gave me a positive review. I found this institute to be one of the best institutes. I prefer this institute to other NIT's because the standard of teaching here is very good. Practicals are held very well. I rate the academics 4 of 5.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Mechanical Engineering B.Tech (4 years). The only entry requirement is that you need to qualify JEE Main with a good score. Admission is done on basis of the JoSAA counselling. Any information can be known from the JoSAA website. Exams are conducted for every 28 days roughly. Academics here prepare me well for the real life challenges.
I get a fee reimbursement, where I am only charged for staying in hostel and eating in mess. Other students whose income is above 8 LPA pay the total fee. I got a scholarship through NSP.
 

Faculty Rating
I found faculty in this institute to be very experienced and skilful. The way they explain things and conduct experiments in the lab is awesome. Most of the faculty use PPTs and blackboards to teach. The problem solving abilities of the faculty are awesome. They answer and explain all the doubts I ask. For every 30 students there is 1 teacher. I found this to be a good ratio. The faculty is very friendly and is available from morning to evening for doubts.
 

Placement Rating
The placement in Mechanical Engineering is good. The average package is 15 LPA, which is good average for any Mechanical Engineering branch.
 

Hostel Rating
The institute offers residential facilities and I live in the institute hostel. Hostels are average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Classrooms are good and they can accommodate about a maximum number of 140 people in our branch. We also have seminar halls, auditoriums etc. Library in our institute has more than 2 Lakh books. Avery huge collection of books is available. The canteen is available. Place named Food Street, where you can find many items to eat just like in canteen. My favorite place in my institute is MME Lawn. Finally, the facilities are good and infrastructure is good.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life experience is very good. I enjoy a lot in institute than in my house. I have a very good friends circle here. More than 3000 people live here. There are many clubs and I love to participate in club activities. I am part of Musical Club. Institute arranges extracurricular activities every 15 days roughly. The main fest of our institute is called ‘Spring Spree’. We enjoy a lot during it. It is of 3 days. Overall experience about the institute is good and I recommend this to new comers.

    So my institute name is NIT Warangal, it is in Telangana. I got here through JOSAA. I chose this particular institute because of its placement percentage and learning environment. Here every second you will be surrounded with the brilliant brains of India, this also provides platform for various clubs like robotics club, etc. It has big library which is open all the time....     NIT Waranagal does not need any introduction. It is one of the most prestigious institutes in India. However, my particular reason for joining this institute over other institutes is its placements and internships. Awesome placements.     My overall experience in NIT Warangal is good. I would rate my experience 3 out of 5 here. The main reason why I chose this institute is the placement stats and reputation of the institute. The faculty in this institute is highly educated. The difference I observed, which I don't find in other institutes is the strict academic rules with attendance criteria of minimum 80%.
