Journey in Umes Chandra College

Overall Rating
Umes Chandra College has 2 campuses. First, one is in the College Street and the second one is in Salt lake. Both the campuses are good. The first campus (College Street) is the main campus. Both the campus is morning college in which timing for first one is from 6 AM to 10:30 AM while the second campus starts from 7 AM and ends by 11 AM or 11:30 AM.
 

Academics Rating
The academics are flexible as maintaining attendance criteria isn’t compulsory. Students can prepare for government exams or others things while studying here.
The fee is not high as compared to other private colleges in Kolkata. It is affordable for almost all the students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are qualified professors. They are of very helpful nature. Whenever you will go to college, they will solve your doubt and will help you to the fullest. For every class, there are enough professors. The professors are punctual and strict to timeline. They do not allow students to attend lecture if they are late. The teaching is done in blackboard. While teaching a particular topic, they ask questions leading to group discussion.
 

Placement Rating
Umes Chandra College has its own placement cell. It helps us in getting jobs with average CTC.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the Umes Chandra College (College Street Campus) is good. It has a big building with a lot number of rooms in each floor. There are total 3 floors (G+3) in the block and all the classes of B.Com are held there. It has a playground, canteen, a common room for students to play indoor games like table tennis, carom, etc. It also has a canteen which food is very much cheap and affordable. Bathroom is available in all floors.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is average. I wish there were more fests and engagement activities.
