Umes Chandra College Kolkata: Best Teachers and Syllabus

Overall Rating
Choosing Umes Chandra College Kolkata was a good decision. The College has best faculties in my opinion and has a good environment for students to study. The infrastructure of College is quite good and has a good reputation in the city. The College also provides internship opportunities to the student. Moreover, students get Wi-Fi facility on all the floors.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Com (Hons.) since my aim is to build career in a Finance related field. The entry requirements require the students to pass 10+2 in any stream with at least 60% marks. Admission process starts with registration for WBCAP by filling the form with all the required details. My course has 8 semesters and each year, there are 2 semesters. It helps in students in strengthening their foundation of theoretical knowledge.
The fee structure for my College is around Rs. 5490/-. It inclusive of the annual tuition fee of Rs. 1020/-, admission fee of Rs. 50/-, session charges of Rs. 4040/-, student quality and activity charges of Rs. 10/-, library fee of Rs. 100/-, registration fee of Rs. 110/-, other charges of Rs. 40/-, and banking charges of Rs. 120/-.
 

Faculty Rating
The relationship between faculty and students are good. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D holders and some of them have Masters in their respective fields. The faculty at the College is highly qualified and effective for Commerce students pursuing professional courses like CA, CS, CFA, and other relevant courses. The problem-solving abilities of the professors are very good as they are easily able to help students with their doubts. Many of the professors even guide students with the career opportunities available.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is quiet good for students who have done well in their semester examination and have good communication skills. Top companies like TCS, Reliance and some of the commercial banks also visit our College. They have offered students with the highest package of 4.5 LPA with the average package being 2 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The College does not have hostel facility.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The College has good infrastructure and there are well-maintained new buildings. There are a good number of spacious classrooms. The College has a library, seminar hall and medical facilities too. My favorite place in College is its library. Our College has a well-maintained and a hygiene canteen serving delicious food at reasonable price. The College is neat and clean.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life at this College gives you exposure to real-life challenges. College is not very crowded and has sufficient space. The College organise an annual fest and where a lot of extracurricular activities are held for students. My experience at Umes Chandra College Kolkata has been very well and I would recommend others to join the College. I have become a part of the Music club which helped me to develop my skills and deal with my stage fear. The overall campus Life at the College is very decent.

    Umes Chandra College has 2 campuses. First, one is in the College Street and the second one is in Salt lake. Both the campuses are good. The first campus (College Street) is the main campus. Both the campus is morning college in which timing for first one is from 6 AM to 10:30 AM while the second campus starts from 7 AM and ends by 11 AM or 11:30 AM.... Read Full Review
