Career Point University B.Tech Review By Kunal Pahadiwal

Career Point University, Kota is built in the area of 50 acres. Since this college is established by the Career Point Coaching hence the curriculum is equivalent to the IITs. Class time table is predefined and already assigned to each class before the commencement of the classes. I was preparing for IIT in 2015 and it did not get good rank for IIT or NIT So I took admission in this college. I was very disappointed in the beginning because I dreamed of studying in the IIT but then I was very impressed by the college culture. Other should take admission in this college because it is a really good college with good infrastructure and good placement. When I was a student at that time fee of my course was Rs. 80,000 but now days it is 1.2 lakh.

This course is a graduate level course and it is also a professional course. I took admission in the Electrical Engineering in which we study about the electrical devices and circuits. To be eligible for this program one should have done their 10+2 from a recognized board. I enrolled in this course because I wanted to be an engineer. Course is four year long and each year is divided into 2 semester which means total 8 semester are there in the course in which in first two semester we study about the all branches subjects and then from the second year all the core subject start. Each semester is followed by the end semester examination. After the examination we go through the practical to successfully pass the semester. There also scholarship opportunity for the student whose overall household income is less then 2 Lakh.

There are many good faculties in each department especially in the Electrical Engineering. All the faculty members were completed their M. Tech from IITs and NITs. Most of the teachers also done their research work at IITs. All the teacher who taught me was very experienced and their style of teaching was very good and I do not need to study again to pass the semester exam. When I was going through a difficult phase in my life at that time one of my teacher helped me to get through it and provided me guidance and it help me a lot in my life. I can say that faculty member here are very supportive and provide good knowledge to the students. Some faculty members are rude but their teaching style is amazing.

There is a cell in Career Point University called Placement and training cell which is responsible for the placement and training of the students. This cell provides training to the student in sixth semester. This is a very active cell because they try to bring as many companies as they could but not all the students got placed in my branch because most of the companies come for the software engineering profile. In my class there were 60 students and only 25 students got placed in which 5 were placed in core companies and other were placed in software companies including myself. There are many students who do not want to get placed they just want to prepare for the GATE exam and they try for the Public Sector Undertaking companies. There are several companies that visit the campus like TCS and Wipro.

Hostel fee is very high in Career Point University for the facility they provide. Hostel fee was 1 Lakh per year, I feel reason for this is that Kota is very expensive city and it is also the educational hub and it is very crowded also. There are three types of room available in the college hostel. Single rooms, two seater rooms and three seater are available for the students to opt and fee increases from three seater to one seater. Facilities in the hostel are swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, gym, free laundry service and mess. Food in the college hostel is average and sometimes it is not even eatable. PG are available outside the campus but they all are bad and do not provide good facilities and charge around 8000 per month. I consider college hostel to live. Hostel students are also provided free bus service in the end semester exam.

Since University offer more than 20 courses hence it becomes obvious that the campus would be huge and it is. Campus is huge and made in the area of 50 acres. There are two main ground in the college and more than 20 blocks in the university including hostels. For my branch there was one building for all year student of Electrical Engineering. Infrastructure of the college is good and very well maintained and very well connected to the highway and inside the college. Classrooms are very well equipped and all the classrooms are air conditioned. Auditorium is situated in the college and it is also used for all the indoor sessions. Library is also available in the college from where we can issue books for free because its fee is already included in the tuition fee.

According to me life in Career Point University Kota is good and it is full of good experiences. In college we get a lot of learning within the technical field and also participate in the extra curriculum activities for our overall development. All the life style in the campus is also good and I have no complaints from the college because it gave me lot of good memories. Campus is ragging free which means no ragging happens on the campus ground. Students here at the Career Point University are not gender biased or religion biased. One annual fest happens in the college in the month of June in which singer comes to perform. College environment is good and very positive. There is also a Counseling center in the college for the students. There are clubs in the college based on many things and all of them are run by the students and they are the president of the clubs also.
