Pursuing Law from NLU Hyderabad

Overall Rating
Nalsar has made a name for itself and that is why it is top ranked NLU. Only the top CLAT rankers get admission here and once you are in Nalsar you don't have to look back as everything will fall in place. We have to work hard and do internships but students of this university get internships in TIER-1 firms as the university itself assists us for that. The university embodies love for students and that is what makes it different from the rest.
 

Academics Rating
NLU Hyderabad teaches students that even though academics are challenging we should learn to embrace it. Each semester is of 4 to 4 and a half month and includes nearly 50 lectures of every subject and over 20 assignments to be done. Besides that, moot competitions happen every month and almost every second individual has to go for international moots as well. The university helps us in getting things done for us for moots and all.
Fees for first year are 2.8 Lakh and in the second year, it increases to 2.85 Lakh.
 

Faculty Rating
I will be forever grateful for my faculties as the way they taught us has literally made us embrace our studies. Students here look at the faculties with fascination as there's hardly anything about Law, which they don't know. All are research scholars and infuse the same kind of culture in university as research based assignments are given and our internal markings also depends on that. Some new faculties have come over, but the pattern of teaching was passed on to them by previous faculties and therefore one thing which is infinite about our faculties is the quality.
 

Placement Rating
There are some 40 top law firms in India like Khaitan & Co., CAMS, Trilegal, etc. and students from NLU Hyderabad have secured positions in them through our placement programs. The university works hard to get us these jobs.
 

Hostel Rating
All the NLUs of country are residential campuses. Our hostels are amazing and now since I am entering my third year, I also have the option to get a single room. For the first two years, shared room was mandatory. Mess food is a bit scratch but we do have a night canteen and it serves tea and snacks till 2 am daily.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Because we have to devote maximum time for studies, our academic infrastructure is the best. We have a two-floor library. Arguably, the biggest and the best classrooms, with air-conditioning are there. We have a gender-neutral building for hostel too. It is a little far from main Hyderabad City and therefore surrounding is peaceful. From Snooker Tables to Badminton Courts, all are top quality facilities here.
 

Campus Rating
What makes Nalsar Hyderabad different from rest of the NLUs is the work ethic of students. This is the main story as one will always find students discussing law subjects or topics which are relevant to law field. Suppose my juniors are discussing something or my seniors are discussing something and if I pass by and hear their point of view, I can join in and share my views too. This is the kind of campus life our university offers.

    I am currently studying in 3rd year of BA LLB (Hons) at Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad. My experience with the university has been great until now; I have explored many opportunities, which might not come if I would have been in other universities.
