Fees and Scholarships at ANITS Visakhapatnam

The institute is excellent in terms of studies and knowledge. Fests are at decent level. There is a lot of freedom given to the students. The faculty and the clean environment present here are the main reasons that I chose this institute. Labs and extracurricular activities are good too. The main difference in this institute is freedom to students when compared with other institutes. Even faculty supports the students.

My course is Computer Science and Engineering (core). I like coding. As a tech enthusiast, I always feel motivated to learn new things. So, I chose this course. Students are eligible if they passed in their +2 and hold a good EAMCET rank. The admission process is directly through writing AP EAMCET. For CSE, the general category rank must be above 8000. For every semester, there are two exams, which the students must qualify. Also, there will be internal lab exams before semester and the external lab exams are conducted after semester exams. The academics are really challenging. Sometimes, they will be difficult than what we expect. Direct real life applications questions will be present too in the exams.

The tuition fee for my course is Rs. 60,000. And, there is an extra amount of Rs. 25,000 for every year. It is for the institute maintenance, exam fee, CRT, and some other things combined. JVD (Jagananna Vidya Deevana ) is available for students as a scholarship for most of the students according to their rules.

Faculty is experts in their respective fields. Everyone is well educated. They all follow blackboard teaching, mainly along with live teaching in labs, PPTs, group discussions. The faculty also provides individual doubt clearing sessions. Teachers have high knowledge due to which they can solve even hard and very challenging problems too. The teacher student ratio is 1:20. They are broadly available for the students. People can contact them after the institute timings too. Overall, the faculty is the backbone of the institute and the results of the students.

The placements cell in ANITS Visakhapatnam is very active. There are different people who manage it. Our seniors’ average package is 3 LPA approximately. They all were placed during the on campus placement sessions itself.

There is a hostel beside the campus. It is separate for boys and girls. The quality of food is great. Different items are available everyday.

ANITS is located in Sangivalasa, Visakhapatnam. It is constructed in 12 to 13 acres. There are different blocks for every department. There is a central library, which is quite big. Classrooms are huge. They can fit upto 80 students minimum. Labs and seminar halls are separate for each block. Canteen is also quite huge and decent. The prices in the canteen are decent. Most of the snacks are sold at MRP. The garden area near to the open auditorium is my favourite spot because if it's cool and peaceful environment.

The overall campus life is extraordinary. There are over 1,500 students in the institute. There are many different clubs. I was part of Photography and Videography club. Students have a lot of free time on Saturdays. They can participate in these events on that day. It varies for different departments again. There is one single grand fest for all the students in the institute. It is conducted every year. Rest of the times, there are many other technical and non-technical events. Outsiders are not allowed in the fests except for technical events. Many extracurricular competitions are conducted time to time. They are organised by different department clubs. Anyone can join them and win prizes.
