Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi Offers Internships Opportunities

This University has provided me with abundant of opportunities helping in increasing my skills, at first I was skeptical like many other students. I also thought only the top Universities can help you achieve your dreams but taking admission in DR. B.R. Ambedkar University changed that perspective forever. I got to explore various societies like Finance and Marketing, placement cell, Enactus and many more. The friendly environment and understanding seniors here helped me step out of my comfort zone and explore new skills.

The course I chose is B.A (hons) in Economics, I have always been intrigued by this subject the practicality of it, and how our whole society works does since money is the driving force of all. The eligibility criteria for this course is through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by NTA and then registering for the same on their website, math is a compulsory requirement for this course as 2 of the core are Statistics and Math. We have the normal semester exam schedule for this one too. There are two semester exams conducted in a year. As for the academics I feel they offer a variety and a sneak peek into the working of the world through their graphical and mathematical models.

The fees for this course are semester wise depending on the course, for my course it was Rs. 35,000/- per semester. As for the fee details they have a detailed distinction on their website so you can check there and they do offer some relief for economically backward classes and special schemes for girl child for that you can refer to the eligibility and forms on their website.

All the Faculty members are highly skilled and educated. Some has done masters and even Ph.Ds in their respective fields, so we get proper guidance as for the method of teaching its usually on boards along with active class interaction. The faculties are usually more active in doubt solving during the class. The faculty members are very friendly and actively guide their students.

We have a very active placement cell in our University however its popularity and reach is not so great, so majority of the students don't know or even if they do they have no faith in the opportunities offered by it often deluded and discouraged by the rumors. But recently there have been a lot of internship opportunities along with placement ones so I feel the potential of this cell is finally being realised but we still have a long way to go and work on its reach. In our annual event offering placements there were 35-40 companies present with on site interviews both for placement and internships and many students got accepted too.

No, our University doesn't offer Hostel facilities.

The infrastructure of this University is really old and it needs serious repairs for which there have been many protests but no proper answer from the dean yet, but the construction of a new block has started. however I feel they need to repair their existing blocks before starting making the new ones so that's an issue here, also the air conditioners don't work here even after complaining multiple times. The canteen is decent too but students prefer to eat outside since our canteen doesn't really offers that much variety, my favorite part of the campus is its garden area. My course doesn't really require labs but for other Science focused courses there are Physics and Chemistry labs.

The overall campus life is pretty chill and peaceful but the travelling is really exhausting since I live far away. My University crowd is also pretty chill followed by occasional bickering and fights here and there but that is there in every Institution I believe. Yes our University offers a huge variety of clubs and societies to increase your network and skill set, these societies conduct various programs throughout the year like speaker sessions, quizzes, etc. They are mainly known for their annual fests highlighting the society's contributions throughout the year, which include competitions. I am still in first year and so far the experience has been mixed but the life here is full of opportunities and chill.
