College Life at Janki Devi Memorial College New Delhi

Overall Rating
Since the day I joined this College, I have had a great experience with it. I learnt many things from my College. Faculty is very outstanding, and the College is full of experience. I learnt new things; also the professors are very understanding. Also its peaceful environment makes me feel comfortable, my College is full of greenery, and I like its infrastructure.
 

Academics Rating
In academics Janki Devi Memorial College is very outstanding. I choose B.A (Hons.) in History as my subject because I have a keen interest in knowing more about the historical events. Eligibility criterion of our College is through CUET Entrance Exam. Our exams are held after every 4 months.
The fee of my course is approximately Rs. 22,000/- per year. Also, many scholarships are given to those with lower economic status.
 

Faculty Rating
Our faculty members are too good and understanding, and have great teaching skills. They are very punctual and treat us like family. The method of teaching varies from teacher to teacher; some make use of notes while some use smart boards. We have good bonding with the faculty and they support our doubts, making it easier to understand difficult topics.
 

Placement Rating
Our College holds a placement cell too from where a lot of students get placed at different companies.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, our College has residential facilities. Since I do not stay at the college hostel I do not have a lot of information regarding the number of rooms, but according to what I have heard- the hostel rooms are clean. And, since, it is an all girls College; we only have a girls’ hostel. The food there is very hygienic and meals are offered 3 times a day. The fees for the same is somewhat around Rs. 1,00,000/-.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of Janki Devi Memorial College is very clean and green. The size of the campus is huge, offering to the students very spacious classrooms. The college has a huge library with different types of books. The campus has an auditorium too where various events take place. We have access to a large canteen with a variety of food options to choose from. And when it comes to the health of the students, they offer to us a medical room where first aid treatments can be administered in case of emergencies. My favorite place at the college is its library.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is great; the crowd here is also good. There are various societies in our college and I am a part of one of those. We also have many extracurricular activities like dance, painting, etc. Many events takes pace during the year, and they are quite vibrant and fun.

    I have recently completed my second year and what I loved the most about Janki Devi Memorial College New Delhi is that despite of it being an off-campus College, the faculty is top notch and they never compromise on your studies. I wasn’t initially happy with an off-campus College but slowly I realised that I needed peace as there isn’t too much crowd and also it’s a women’s College which I prefer personally.     My experience at Janki Devi Memorial College has been really good. The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The campus is clean and has all the basic facilities like library, labs, and sports areas. There are many activities and clubs for students to join, which makes College life fun and interesting.     Janki Devi Memorial College is overall a good college. The infrastructure, social life is amazing but the placement is average. However, the college is most underrated college of delhi university. You should definitely join this college. The admission process is based on CUET scores, and the cutoff varies each year.
