Janki Devi Memorial College Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, New Delhi

Although I haven't stayed in the hostel but as I talked with my friends who have stayed within the hostel I am sharing some of the points I noticed. The College does have an on campus residential facility & it is only for undergraduate female students coming from different parts of India. The hostel is situated on the College campus itself and that too perhaps I feel is its greatest benefit. Students need not separately move to and from their hostel and College every day. Each room has a capacity for 3 students with an attached bathroom. There is a common room & open green campus area for recreation and also there is one dining hall. Admission here does not automatically confirm your accommodation in a hostel. Students need to know that rooms at College hostels are limited. It is laid down in the hostels document that the candidate must meet certain eligibility criteria and the admission into the hostels are given on a merit basis. For first year students, Class XII scores shall be the criteria for merit. As for the quality of the food, I would not describe it as an average. One thing I would like to add which I have personally noticed is that rules are fairly strict. It is not the sort of hostel where you can come and go whenever you want.Read Full Review

They also celebrate few occasions in the hostel for students who couldn't go to their homes due to any reason.Read Full Review
