SRM University Sonepat B.Tech Admission is Through SRMJEE

My overall experience was satisfactory. If you’re looking for a place to grow personally and academically than SRM University is best. I spent four years in this University. The culture is diverse with students enrolling from all over the world. The infrastructure and tech facilities are good as compared to other private Universities.

I chose B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The students have to qualify entrance exam for the admission in this University. I scored good marks in SRMJEE and got 75% scholarship in my first year. The admission process is quite simple and teachers are also there to guide you through the whole process. The University conducts final examination at the end of each semester and mid semester examinations twice throughout the semester. The academic courses followed by the University are well updated and provide the knowledge about the trending technologies which helps the students to keep up with the growing market. They also provide various other courses too.

The fee of my course when I enrolled in this University was Rs. 2,50,000/- and there is 10% of increment every year. The minimal admission and exam fee has to be paid before the examination. The scholarships are provided to the students who score good marks.

The faculty of this University is really good and friendly. Most of the teachers have done Ph.D. The teaching method includes projectors, blackboards, etc. They also solve student’s doubts whenever they have any. The faculty members are very approachable and helpful.

The placement cell is average. There are limited placement opportunities available here. The cell doesn’t allow students to sit in the placements who got already selected in one company. They conduct various placement drives. Although, during my academic year not much companies visited our University.

The University offers great hostel facilities. To be honest being a hosteller I can say that the hostels are good. The food, utilities, and staff all are good and I love living in the hostel. The hostel also has a well equipped gym. In hostel you will get a chance to make a lot of friends from different places.

The campus has many blocks and different floors are dedicated to different courses. The classrooms are large with AC, projector, and blackboard facilities. Each classroom can accommodate around 60-70 students. The campus has well maintained library, labs, easily accessible hospital, sports ground, and canteens. The transportation facilities are also available for the students. The best part of the whole block is the computer labs.

The overall campus life is average. There are various societies and clubs such as Dance, Music, Drama, Gaming, etc. These societies encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities. SRM University organise cultural fest every year around February or March that attracts large crowds. The University also invites celebrities for the two days cultural fest called PRISMA.
