Dream College: SRCC New Delhi

Overall Rating
SRCC New Delhi is Asia's top Commerce College. It is the IIT/AIIMS for Commerce students. When I was selected into this College, it was a "Dream come true" moment for me and my family, especially for my parents. I have always manifested about getting into this College because it was the only hope for me, as being from a middle-class family getting into a reputed Government College means to have a better future and opportunities. This College is not just a College, it is a legacy, and I'm escalated to be a part of this legacy.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently enrolled in B.Com (Hons.) and also pursuing CA simultaneously. I chose this course because it aligned with my CA syllabus. Now the entry requirements for SRCC New Delhi is through CUET exam. The eligibility criteria for this course is that you should have atheist Accountancy or Mathematics in your 11th and 12th Standard. There are total 6 semesters if you are going for 3-year course and 8 semesters if you are going for 4-year course.
So, for the fees part, I know about my course, it would be charged on yearly basis. In my first year, it was around Rs. 33,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
Studying in this College not only gives you various opportunities, but it also provides you with enlightening knowledge. You'll get one of the best faculty which not only provides you with theoretical knowledge but also gives you some practical exposures about how the outside world and its functioning. No doubt some professors are strict about the attendance, internals, etc. but other professors are very chill and give friendly vibes.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are one of the strongest aspects of this College. The College have built a brand image and its reputation, also academics and corporate network create an exceptional environment for placements and internships. Here, we have placement cell, which oversees everything related to placement and internships.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel infrastructure is decent. Girls and boys have different buildings. There is four-time meals for girls. Mess hygiene is pretty decent. Timing for girls is 8:30 PM and for boys it differs. If you get hostel, you will get various opportunities to connect with your peers, seniors, super seniors, and other societies, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
I love my campus although it is on a smaller scale but it has the SRCC clock tower. They have one of the finest Auditorium and Sports complex in DU. We have classrooms of different sizes and they are air-conditioned as well. Our Canteen is currently being reconstructed, food in the canteen has decent prizes. Apart from canteen we have Amul and Nescafe in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
It's been a year since I got admission in this College and my experience has been amazing. I have seen my highs and lows in the College life with peers, academics, getting POR’s in societies, etc. There are over 60+ societies here, and each differs from the other. It's not necessary to take part in extracurriculars but if you take part, it will definitely give you some sort of exposure.

    The overall experience at SRCC New Delhi of mine in 1st two years is that it will keep you busy. There’s no way that you can find distractions as some days the classes are held till evening. Besides this so many societies, events, assignments, and activities takes place so it is impossible to find distractions. Those who are not doing all this are anyways not having the best experience and to have a good College experience. This College will provide the experience that will last for life.... In this college you will get diversity, competitions that will push you ahead, different cultural activities, a lot of good connections and obviously a reputed and well qualified faculty to teach you.
