The location of Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is in Saranga, Dhenkanal. It started operating in 1982. Government officials themselves oversee this technical institute. The 179 acres of the campus are fairly large. Engineering courses are offered in B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and PhD programmes. The institute has a long history. The professors are highly skilled. Transportation, healthcare, libraries, hostels, canteens, cafeterias, and banking are all available. Near this Institute is the Bramhani River. In a place of tranquilly, the Institute is present.

Academics Rating

They provide Civil engineering, EE, ME, CSE, E, and Metallurgical in the B.Tech programme. Because this is a government institute, the course costs are relatively reasonable. The money required for the B.Tech programme is Rs. 35,000. They accept JEE main rank for lateral courses and OJEE rank for B.Tech programmes. The curriculum is well-organized. This institute's faculty is excellent since there are faculty members with specialised expertise in each discipline. The other professors are incredibly helpful. The best aspect of this institute is how many placement chances it provides.

Faculty Rating

There are three professors, six associate professors, and ten contract faculty members working in our CSE department. The instructors are PhD degree holders, and some of the lectures are M.Tech-educated. They continue to have positive relationships with each student. They offer course-related study materials. Every week, they attend practical classes, coding classes, and doubt-clearing classes. There are two semesters each year, and each semester has projects and homework for the students. They support projects as well.

Placement Rating

Our placement cell is excellent because they put students in core, MNC, startup, and service-based positions. Capgemini, Accenture, Ugam Solutions, Hexaware, and Infosys are some of our college recruiters, with an average package of 3.5 LPA. Concerning highest bundle, I'm not sure. However, they offer good placement assistance along with training. They offer study resources pertaining to interviews. Most thermal companies, including NTPC, NALCO, and OPTCL, visit for placement drives for electrical companies.

Hostel Rating

There are 8 hostels located on campus. 2 for girls and 6 for guys. The rates, which are 11,000 year, are quite reasonable. They provide dinner, lunch, and breakfast. The food quality is acceptable but not as much except. The hostel is immaculately kept. The lodgings are spotless. CCTV is installed in every hostel for tight security. They offer backup electricity and water purification. Three to four people can share a room. They also offer laundry services. Weekly sweepers arrive to perform cleaning. The hostel is encircled by a fence.

Infrastructure Rating

The institute's 179 acres are home to a variety of buildings. The academic buildings include classrooms with and without air conditioning, labs, and auditoriums. Boys and girls can both use the canteen, cafeteria, and hostel facilities. There is a large sports arena where all sporting events and yearly celebrations take place. Both two-wheelers and four-wheelers can park in the area. There is a sizable garden there with lovely flowers. Our university has a large library with around 27000+ volumes of books.

Campus Rating

At IGIT, campus life is really enjoyable. Our institute's annual festival is called Horizon. We enjoy DJ nights and campfires. Numerous clubs, including the NCC, the RSS Club, and cultural clubs, are present. The professors are really supportive. They support us in every way. There are also other facilities with sports, health, and educational activities. Every festival, fest, and events are observed in college. The campus is covered in trees, and there are lovely gardens. We never experience any facility-related issues. This is the best institute, I must say.

This Institute is overall good and organises a lot of fests. I chose IGIT Dhenkanal because it is very close to my hometown and I just want a simple degree of graduation for my higher goals. I also like its disciplined atmosphere. The crowd at this Institution is decent. The curriculum is also updated. We are required to wear uniform on a daily basis.
