Shree Agrasain College Howrah was Started in 2004

Shree Agrasain College, Howrah is one of the most popular Private Colleges in Kolkata and was started 2004. It offers quality education and varied facilities at nominal fees. The learning environment of the College is unique since the teachers here treat students very nicely and does not discriminate between them. Students can take admission in this College for various reasons like infrastructure, placements, academics, and more. One thing that helps this College stand out in my opinion is the ragging-free environment here.

I choose B.Com (Hons.) as I want to pursue a career in Banking. The College offers a variety of courses including BBA, B.Sc, and many others. The entry requirements are having at least 50% in 10+2. Students can pay the fees online to confirm their admission at the College. The exams are well structured. The exams are held on a semester basis, the internals carry 25 marks and the end semester exams are for 75 marks. The syllabus here is updated and make us future ready. The fee for my course is very nominal.

The total course fee is around Rs. 1,20,000/- and during the time of admission, about Rs. 23,000/- is supposed to be paid. This fee is inclusive of the first semester fee and admission charges. In addition, for the rest of the semester, the fee is around Rs. 14,000/- per semester. The College also offers scholarship to students like Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means scholarship that provides with an amount of around Rs. 12,000/- per year up to 4 years. Students should have at least 60% in 10+2 to be eligible for this scholarship.

The College has excellent faculties. They are all masters of their respective subjects. One thing that sets them apart for is how they treat the students; they are all really nice and supportive. The College ensures to take a background check of teachers before appointing them as a faculty member at the College. They teach very thoroughly by using diagrams, flowcharts, and tables whenever required. They also share PDFs, which has syllabus relevant information, and it really helps students during exams and in general. My personal bonding with teachers is good since I attend the College regularly and respect them. Student can easily rely on them without taking any other coaching outside the College since they are very approachable and always ready to resolve doubts and problems faced by the students.

Students get placements as per their skills, talent and dedication.

The College does not provide hostel facilities (as of now).

The infrastructure of the College is also very good. It is a huge College with a big ground, numerous classrooms, library, seminar halls, labs, canteens, and many other facilities. All the classrooms are air-conditioned and have comfortable seating arrangements with an accommodation capacity of around 50 to 60 students in each classroom. The canteen of the College serves food and beverages to the students at nominal prices. The library is also air-conditioned and has a wide-collection of books. Students can also issue books from the library.

My campus life is very good until now. The College life is manageable and the crowd at the College is limited. There are clubs for varied activities in the College but I am not a part of any. A variety of extracurricular activities like Cricket, Swimming, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, etc. are there for students to be indulged in. The annual fest, 'Agrotsav' is also wonderful which is not held in the premises of the College.
