Heramba Chandra College Kolkata B.Com (Hons.) Fee is Rs. 3580/- for 1st Semester

My experience since I have joined this College is nothing but exciting. I got to learn various new things every day. Not only the academics are but the teachers are also cooperative and friendly. Non-teaching staff as well as seniors are also helpful. Right now, I am learning and enjoying in this College very much. Various academic and non-academic facilities are available in this College.

I chose B.Com (Hons.). The intake capacity is high in this College. Any student can take admission in this College. The admission process is simple, you just have to fill out the admission form and pay the fee. There are two semester in a year. The semester exams also include internal tutorial exam. The academics are up to date and prepare us to face real life challenges.

In my first semester I paid Rs. 3580/-. Other than that, students also have to pay the exam fee which is Rs. 300/-. The Heramba Chandra College provides special discounts to the students who belong from economically weaker section. The SVMCM merit cum means scholarship is available to all students.

The faculty members of my department are good. The faculty is well qualified and has good teaching experience in their respective field. The teaching methods include smart boards, textbooks, PPTs, etc. The teachers also conduct group discussion so that the students understand the topic in an easier manner. The teachers are really helpful towards all the students and always solve the doubts of the students.

Yes, the College has placement cell. Although, I am in my 5th semester right now so I don’t have much experience about it. Various seminars and activities are conducted by the companies.

The campus is situated at a very well connected center of the city with quick and easy transportation. The building has four floors and it has enough classrooms. The classroom has good seating capacity. The campus has library on the ground floor and one on the fourth floor. The College has good sports facilities for games like Football, Cricket, etc. There's a canteen with a spacious seating arrangement that serves good quality of food. The campus has conference hall on the ground floor and seminar hall on the third floor where various events are conducted. The campus provides good security and medical facilities which are very helpful. My personal favorite is the canteen where all students and seniors sometimes come together for jamming sessions where people play guitar, sing songs, etc.

The overall experience till now in Heramba Chandra College has been a compound of ups and downs but I have gained great experience. The campus crowd is friendly and always ready to help others. There are various clubs such as Dance club, Literature club, Fashion club, Drama club, etc. The College organises various extracurricular activities for the students to showcase their talent. Along with this, the students can participate in intra-College competitions. It conducts an annual fest for students. The College conducts Fresher’s party.
