Overall experience at at KIIT Bhubaneswar

Overall Rating
Overall experience in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar was quite good. It was suggested by one of my seniors from the same Institution and after ending of the first semester I realised it was totally worth it. I got a good peer group, great faculties and amazing facilities in this huge campus. The placement provided is also quite good. Most of the students get placed before the completion of their course. Also, everything is available in Online mode such as your marks, attendance, fees etc.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering as I was having interest in this field from earlier. For entry you have several options. Either you can enter with your grades of JEE or you can also appear in KIITEE. After getting selected you have to appear for counselling and then pay the requisite fees. The Institute takes exams in every 3 months. Every semester you will have two exams one is mid semester exams and the other one is end semester exams.
Fees structure is around Rs. 2,00,000/- per semester (for B.Tech courses). Hostel charges are different as per the room chosen. The mess charges are changed every year. The top rankers of KIITEE are also granted scholarships. Even the top rankers of semester exams are also granted scholarships.
 

Faculty Rating
You are going to have a great bond with your faculty members. The way they explain the things is just awesome. Teaching method varies for different teachers as some teach with PowerPoint presentations whereas some go for handwritten notes. Most of the faculty members have completed their education from reputable Institutions and most of them have also done their Ph.D.
 

Placement Rating
Placement of this college is quite good. On average students get placed on a package around 8 LPA. The highest package till now is 60 LPA. You will start getting offers from 3rd year only.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are available at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar. There are separate hostels for boys & girls. In both kind of hostels, there are both AC & Non-AC rooms. Either you can opt for three bedded or a two bedded room. The charges of the hostel amenities keeps changing.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is huge. There are different campuses for each branch and each department has libraries, labs, conference halls, different sports courts and canteen. Canteens and Food courts are available. Here you can consult with doctors and get medical services which are totally free. You can access the libraries and the resources at no cost, which is definitely going to make your life easier.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is good. There are approximately 3000 students each year for my branch (including different specialisations). There are many clubs from which you can choose from as per your interest such as Technology, Dance, Singing, Drama, etc. Even I am a part of the Technology Club. You will get lots of opportunities for extracurricular activities. Every year, a fest is conducted in month of January where you can take part and perform.

    KIIT is an Institute where the main goal of the Institute is educates tons of children. The batch of 2024 has more than 4000 admissions. I had no other good choice rather than to join this Institute.     This Institute is a combination of extracurricular activities and great academics. KIIT provides a beautiful natural environment for students to study and perform their various vocational activities. One who is a great fan of sports and culture must come here cause it is the domain of all these.
