Fair Opinion About Arya Vidyapeeth College Guwahati

Overall Rating
Till now my experience at Arya Vidyapeeth College, Guwahati was great and I took admission here because I wanted to study Anthropology honours and I heard a lot from other people that the this department is great and that was the main reason I took admission in this here. Not many Colleges in Guwahati offer this as an honour subject. Till now my experience with my department has been going well and the teachers are very cooperating and understanding with their teachings at excellent level.
 

Academics Rating
I don't know much about the entry requirements or eligibility criteria of the College. The admission process was through online Samarth Portal. We had to apply for the College first, and then, if selected we had to go to the College for the admission and pay the money offline. But my percentage was low so my admission was done offline through spot admission.
The fee for my chosen course was Rs. 7000/- above if I remember properly. But my admission was free due to ration card. Till now no scholarship or financial aid is available for the students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of my chosen course are very kind and well behaved with the students. The background of the faculty members is above excellent. All of them have completed their Masters in this course. Moreover, they have achieved many high levels. My bonding experience with the faculty members was well mannered. As I said they're very cooperative, understanding and well behaved with us.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, separate hostel facilities are there in Arya Vidyapeeth College, Guwahati, but I don’t know much about it.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The College has many buildings as it has more than 20 departments so they need more area for each department. The campus is not that wide it's just a little narrower. The classrooms of the College are okay for me, as there are small and big classrooms. There are many conference halls, which are used during seminars or any kind of meeting of different department students, and there is one library. The College has a playground which is on the opposite side of the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, my campus life at Arya Vidyapeeth College, Guwahati is average, as it is not that big. The College usually stays crowded on daily basis, but on some occasions or Saturdays, it doesn't get that much crowded. Yes there are clubs in the College, including Sports Club. Extracurricular activities of the College includes sports day or we can say College Weeks, Freshers for the new comers. Yes, they do collect fees sometimes from the students to organise festivals or occasions.
