GLC Mumbai: One of The Best Law Colleges in Mumbai

Overall Rating
Government Law College, Mumbai is a legendary Law College as it's not just the oldest but one of the most reputed Colleges as well. Still the campus is such that you do a high jump and you will find yourself off off-campus. However, I don't think that campus size even matters as Marine Drive and High Court both are our neighbours. Also, main South Bombay Station is right at our nose and therefore it is unarguably the most convenient Law Colleges one will find.
 

Academics Rating
GLC Mumbai has been rated above many NLUs and perhaps the best in Mumbai as it is actually the best academic wise. Also our College has my course which is BLS.LL.B which is not there in most Law Colleges. Also, our timings are only 3 hours and that too in morning & therefore we get so much time to do any course online or pursue full time Internships that is more vital.
It is the most affordable Law College as my fees is just Rs. 11,440/- a year. Also, there's a girls quota in this College and the students from Maharashtra get the first preference here.
 

Faculty Rating
Every faculty I see has a gold medal or number of publications with their names. A Government College having such faculties is next to impossible but we have the best teachers. Our faculties don't just push us to pursue Internships but also helps in pursuing the same. Our faculties have found a way to keep us excited after finishing half the course which can get monotonous as legal studies is perhaps the lengthiest course.
 

Placement Rating
GLC Mumbai is one of the reputed Institution in the area and therefore branded law firms constantly hire students from our College. Even many corporate houses of Mumbai also hired students form our College.
 

Hostel Rating
The College doesn’t provide hostel facilities to its students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The building looks like a Government office but the Library is amazing as it not only has various books but has a very spacious study area as well. Few classrooms are there as there are a few students and some departmental office including the Principal office. I wish our College was air conditioned as ACs are now found in almost every College of Mumbai University. Auditorium at ACs and a small canteen which has just started recently is affordable.
 

Campus Rating
It is a novelty to be in the same College which has many notable alumni. Government Law College, Mumbai has many committees like the Placement, Legal Aid, Moot Courtand Leo Club & since I am a part of two committees, I can guarantee that one can have the best exposure after joining them. The fests are there, though, they aren't that grand as our College hardly hosts any.
