GLC Mumbai has Over 17 Classrooms

My overall experience was good. I am currently in my first year at GLC Mumbai. The reason why I chose this College strong legacy and alumni network which honestly opens a lot of doors for students. The academics and real world opportunities like Internships, Moots and competitions helps students to grow professionally. The campus life is average. You need to join committees and create your own opportunities. In short GLC will shape you professionally, but you have to be self-driven to make out the most of it.

I'm pursuing LL.B and the admission process is through the MHT CET Law entrance exam, which keeps the entry fair and open to anyone who qualifies. Once the results are declared, the students receive an allotment letter and the admission is on complete offline mode within the campus. Academically, the course focuses on both theoretical understanding and independent learning. This system requires consistency, but it also gives students the flexibility to do Internship and gain practical experiences alongside studies.

For my course, the yearly fees are quite affordable. Maharashtra students pay around Rs. 6,350/- and OMS students pay around Rs. 7,270/-. The amount includes tuition fees, Library, Gymkhana, moot court, internal exam fees and other small charges. The fees differs for every student depending on their category and scholarships. The College also supports students through different Government and Private scholarship portal, so the final cost can reduce depending on eligibility.

The faculty members are well-qualified and have strong academic background. The subjects which have been taught to me for my course are Logic, Economics and English. The teaching style is mostly verbal and theoretical, and in some subjects they use blackboard to make the topics clear. The faculty is cooperative and helpful. I wish the classes were more regular. Teachers are approachable and easily accessible all the time.

I am currently a junior member of the Placement Committee here. The College has a separate Placement Cell handled by selected students, and the work is fair and transparent. There is a dedicated placement website where they update students about Internship and recruitments. They posted update regularly. There are three main flagship placement events every year. More than 100 firms and organisations are connected. Big recruiters like AZB & Partners, DSK legal, Trilegal and many more. Students get guidance directly from partners and associates who share insights on how to work in Legal field. The salary packages vary each year, but average range usually fall around 6 to10 LPA and it clearly depends on individuals performance and firm.

No, they do not provide accommodations to the students. There are Government hostels where students can apply, but the seats are very limited and selection depends on category and availability.

It is located at A Road, Church Gate, Mumbai which is honestly one of the best places to study. The campus is close to Marine Drive and surrounded by other Colleges. The College has been newly renovated. There many classrooms and facilities are updated. There are more than 17 classrooms, a seminar hall and a proper moot court hall. The auditorium has a capacity of around 200 students. The library is one of the biggest strengths and it consists of rare legal books. Overall, the infrastructure is functional and improving.

Overall campus life was good. The crowd here is quite smart and competitive. The atmosphere around the campus is good, but actual campus life depends a lot on how involved you are. We don't have many fests or events throughout the year. The main College fest has started last year itself, which is held in the month of January which includes activities like Singing, Dancing, Drama, Sports, etc. The students get engaged by the committees and guest lectures. We have many committees like Cultural Committee, MUN, Debate, Placement, Legal aid and many more. One of the biggest strengths will exposed in real courtrooms, Law firms, NGOs and Internships from early years of your College life.
