HPNLU Shimla: The Perfect Law University

Overall Rating
I am first year Law student at Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla. At this University, things are very good till now teachers are great, infrastructure is also good. Hostel facility are also provided. As a Law student there is very hectic schedule like first assignment than mid semester exams and then presentation followed by end semester exams comprising all 100 marks. Here, the environment is good seniors are helpful and this college is situated at 22 KMs from the main city hence, in a village but basic facilities like groceries and eateries are there and online deliveries are available as well.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled here in B.A.LL.B and to get admission here you have to give CLAT exam that happens in December every year admission is hectic at this University. In my courses, there are 2 section comprising 60 students each and for BBA only one with 60 students so total batch is of 180.
Here the fee structure we can say is pretty high like by combining all the things it's like Rs. 3,00,000/- per annum.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty here is nice and is helpful. Mostly teachers are from Himachal Pradesh itself, every teacher has different method to help us learn like some use PPTs while some use only oral lectures. If you go to your teacher about any sort of problem, they try to help with every part they can.
 

Placement Rating
This University has been developing at a fast speed improving their placements and has given good results till now. if we talk about internship opportunity I think the University’s tag helps and University also provide some opportunities. The highest package was 18 LPA and lowest was 5 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is good as every necessity is there like geyser, kettle, cleanliness, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is not that big but sufficient as it is in the mountains, the view is great plus we have all basic things like library, computer lab, smart classrooms, moot court, etc. This University has everything that a law college needs and talking about furniture it is also nice like tables, chairs, smart TVs, etc. infrastructure is also good and the campus we can say is also very aesthetic we also have a terrace here.
 

Campus Rating
So overall the campus life is good, people are nice here from faculty to all non-teaching staff is good. There are also various communities here like Moot Court and all other things and we have good batchmates who are very active and ready to learn.

There are many events in this university and the university is well connected by the roads, as it is located in the Shimla Mandi Highway one can reach.     As a first year student, it has been an exhilarating experience so far. The daily walks here seem like short and peaceful treks that provide a sense of calmness all over.
