IAMR Group of Institutions B.Tech Review By Akhilesh Yadav

IAMR Group of Institutions is an average college and this college provides courses in many domains including engineering, management and law. There would be 3 to 4 thousand students studying the college and the faculty members in the institute are also good and they really helpful for the exam preparation. Overall college infrastructure is very good since they offer many courses. College campus is ragging free and the relation to the fellow students with seniors is also very good. Security in the campus is very good and every student must have to wear their ID card to get into the institute. I choose this institute because I was interested in the pursuing B. Tech and after my intermediate I did not appear for any entrance exam so I join this institute. I would not recommend anyone to join this institute if they can get good institute at the fee that they charge then the student should join other institutes which are far better than this college.

Admission in the institute are done through the JEE Mains Exam but when I join the institute at that time I did not appear for any entrance exam so I was unable to select any college and that is the reason I took admission in IAMR Group of Institutions through the management quota and they charge 1 Lakh extra for the admission process and after that one year fee was also very high and my family faced a lot for the college fee which was around 2.5 Lakhs per annum including hostel fee which means the academic fee is 1.5 Lakh per year. Eligibility for this course is intermediate with qualifying marks in the all subjects. I choose Computer Science Engineering in this college because I was interested in computer related subjects and we study a lot about the programming languages in this course. Since this course has eight semesters and it is very easy to qualify each semester by just studying three to four days prior to the exams.

Teachers in IAMR Group of Institutions are best teachers and they are better than other college's teachers. Many of the teachers in the college take both theory and practical subjects at the same time so it is very easy to understand the each aspect of the subjects without any confusion in the concept. In Computer Science Engineering there are majority of subjects which we do not study in our classes form first class to intermediate, the subjects are unique and we need to invest time to understand these subjects and the teachers in the IAMR explained each subject with great depth with all the practical classes and all the coding classes. Every teacher in the institute was a research fellow and they were doing their research work in the futuristic technologies like Block chain and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Teaching style of each teacher was very understandable and simple to understand.

Placements in the IAMR are decent and in my batch only 50 percent students got placed and that is why I choose to go for the higher studies. There are some companies visit the campus which offers package ranging from 2.9 Lakh per annum to 8 Lakh per annum and I feel that is very low for the fee of around 2.5 Lakh per annum. Internships opportunities in the college are good and we can get internship in the college and some of the paid internships are also available in the college. I would recommend you to do internships while studying in the college. We have to apply for the jobs on different portals like LinkedIn and Glassdoor. But to get selected on this portals our resume should be strong and for a strong resume we need do as many projects and internships as we can do in our college life such that we can build a resume that can be selected easily in out of campus placements.

There are hostels in the campus and there are hostels for the girls and boys and the fee for the three students room is 1 Lakh per year including the food charges. Hostels rooms are good and they are livable and there facilities like free Wi-Fi for the students and free laundry services for the students and there is fan, bed, chair, table etc. Food in the mess is very simple and they serve only vegetarian food. I stayed in the hostel in my first year and I left the hostel in my second year and I lived in a flat outside the hostel with my five friends. Staying in a flat where we also made a kitchen and hire a maid for the food and whole budget of one month including the room was around 6500 which was very much affordable and we enjoyed more outside the college hostel than inside hostel.

Infrastructure in the college is average and there is everything and nothing in the college at the same time likewise there is a good library in the college but there are very little sports facilities in the campus premises. Another example is that classrooms are good but the quality of the lab are not good and the computers in the labs are old and the processor in them are slow for the level of computation that is required for us in our subjects. There are hostel in the college but the quality of the life in the hostels is not good according to many students who feel like me. There are air conditioned classroom but the availability of other equipment in the classes are very less. There is a bank in the college which we can for the scholarship purposes which is very necessary for the students. College also has personality development center for the growth of the students.

Life in the Institute of Applied, Medicine and Research is average and it is full of disappointment and it feel like we are trapped in the college which has zero college culture and there are many limitations in the college for the students and there is only is one sports ground in the college. Only one fest happen each year which is also not celebrated in good enthusiasm and we get nothing more than the disappointments. One fest called Dreams Park happen every year for the enjoyment of the students in the month of March. No technical fest happen in the institute and there are only few movements in the college life where we have enjoyed and other than that there are many movements where I feel a lot of pressure in the college like academic pressure and like assignments and projects pressure. I would not recommend this college to anyone because there are many good colleges than this at the same or less academic fee.
