Jain University, Bangalore: Perception of a Last Year Student

Overall Rating
My overall experience at Jain University, Kanakpura Road (Jakkasandra campus) has been average. Academics are okay, with moderate teaching quality and low study pressure. A lot of free time in hands so self study is the best way to learn different skills. Overall growth depends on individual efforts. I chose Jain University because my cousin sister was studying here, her review was positive.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech CSE AIML as AI is one emerging fields. Growth in AI related technology and career was high. Entry requirement is to clear University’s entrance exam JET. we can also enter through JEE Main marks or through Management quota. University Admission process is simple as there is document verification, seat confirmation, and fee payment then document submission with fee receipts, etc. internal is divided into two midterm exams, assignment, quiz, online, etc. Academics provide basic theoritical knowledge and little practical knowledge. Learning skills and gaining knowledge that is more practical depends on self-efforts.
My course fee is Rs. 3,75,000/-. Tuition fee depends on branch and specialisations. Exam fee 00 per sem, last fee charges, and registration Rs. 20,000/-. Some special discounts are available for the students,
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculties have PhD’s. They use PPTs for teaching us. Most of them are good at problem solving, patience and willing to teach. Faculty is very approachable, good-natured and will help you personally if needed. So overall, average faculty with good approachable nature and good theoritical knowledge. Students are expected to self-study.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the University has a dedicated placement and training cell. My placement experience was good. I tried for 4 to 5 companies and placed in Cognizant with 6.75 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels have two and three sharing rooms. Food is also provided to us. For me, the fee was little higher.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Facilities present at the campus are Library, Gym, Labs, Seminar hall, Auditorium, Conference Hall, Amphitheater, etc. Classrooms have a capacity around 60 to 70 students. Canteen and stationary shop is present in campus, security is not tight but good. . I like seating in amphitheater. football ground is nice to play.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, campus life is good. I enjoyed a lot, teaching was ok, and there was no ragging (as there was Anti-Ragging Committee). In campus, it will feel crowdy but in general not too much crowdy. it has many clubs like music, cultural activities, sports, and educational clubs. I am not a working member of any club but attend education club sessions (they have technology talk session).

    The studies in the college are taken pretty seriously. Maintaining a good attendance percentage which is 75% is also important for getting exam ticket hassle free. The college is overall good.     The campus is not that large but is big enough. The faculties are very good and professional. We have CSIT and Business department in the university. The university is run by a private owner they provide internship and placement as well for a good outcome from the university and the people are good they hang around at the university for fun...
