IPEC Ghaziabad Annual Fest is 'Udbhav'

My overall experience in this Institution is very good as it provides good infrastructure, several courses, fun Campus life and placement opportunities. I chose IPEC Ghaziabad as it is nearby Delhi and easy to reach and also provides good placement offers, has a nice crowd, and is now autonomous so this is an advantage as the curriculum is now more placement oriented. They provide students with good opportunities to showcase their skills and an exposure to the real-world experiences.

I chose B.Tech CSE because I always wanted to work in the tech industry. Eligibility criteria for this course is securing more than around 3-4 lakh rank in JEE Main and if you have not given this exam, then you can get admission into several other courses. Admission process is simple, you can get direct admission by going to the College office or you can apply for counselling online. Usually 4 sessional exams and 2 Pre University Tests are conducted and apart from them, 2 semester exams are also conducted along with external practical examinations. Academics prepare us for the real life challenges as practical lab experiments are conducted which gives students real-world exposure.

The fee for my chosen course is Rs. 1,40,000/- for the first year and from second year onwards, it is about Rs. 1,26,306/-. In the first year, scholarships are given to the top five performers and in the second, third, and fourth year, scholarships are awarded to the top three rank holders. Apart from this if any student secures any of the top 10 position in University level exam then their full year fees can be waived off.

The faculties are graduated with Masters' degrees in their own respective subjects. They are well trained and have experience of teaching from several different Colleges, though some new teachers are also now appointed. Methods of teaching include blackboard, projectors, group discussions and practical explanations. Their problem-solving abilities are really good and they are dedicated towards their subject. Student-to-teacher ratio is 1 teacher for 60 students per subject and they are really approachable and my bonding with the professors is also good. They are very supportive towards my studies and also flexible with us participating in hackathons etc.

Placement Cell is present at IPEC Ghaziabad which is working hard for providing placements and internships to the students. They provide us with various courses to make us skilled. They keep sessions and seminars to educate students about the current job markets and the skills required.

There are 6 hostels in total, 3 for boys and 3 for girls and these can accommodate over 700 students altogether. Both boys and girls have separate hostels. Mess food is hygienic and clean; meals are prepared three times a day and apart from this snacks are also provided. The yearly hostel fee is approximately Rs. 1,05,000/- for a single-seater room. Entry time is fixed for girls; which is usually around 7:30 PM and for boys, by 9:00 PM. Going out of campus needs warden permission. My overall experience is good.

IPEC Ghaziabad has 4 academic blocks in total which includes labs, classes, and auditoriums. Classrooms are big and clean with a seating capacity of 60 to 70 students, a two floored library building which also includes a reading room. Separate labs, seminar halls, auditoriums, and conference halls are present for different departments. Canteen is big and spacious, it is clean and nice. Students can also enjoy a indoor sports hall, basketball court or a ground. This Institution also provides buses for students. Security is good as there are 2 gates in the campus which are guarded by security personnel and beautiful gardens are also present here.

Overall campus life is good and the College crowd is nice and goal oriented. Multiple clubs are present here including Technical club and prize winning Cultural clubs. I am part of the Theatre club and a Technical society. The Institution organises a lot of extracurricular activities like Dance and Poem competitions, various Quizzes, Hackathons, Robot fights, etc. Annual fest 'Udhbav' is also conducted which takes place for 2 to 3 days.
