Overall Rating
It's been almost 2 years since I had joined KLN College of Engineering. My overall experience was good. I got admission through counselling. The eligibility for the counselling is 50 percentage aggregate marks in 12th. For counselling quota last year the cut off was around 170 to 173. The overall placement percentage is also good, it's almost 70 percentage.
 

Academics Rating
My course is IT (information technology). I choose this field since I was interested in IT field and jobs. The entry requirements in KLN College of Engineering are just a good cutoff for counselling quota admission. For the management quota the 50 percentage aggregate in 12th is required. My motive for entering is due to increasing demand and growth of IT sector.
 

Faculty Rating
In IT department all the faculties are experienced and well qualified. Each faculty is unique all have their own style of teaching. In my department our faculties stress us on self learning. They tell us to concentrate more on self learning and give more importance to it. There are some new freshies also who use new style which keeps the student focus and their attention towards themselves.
 

Placement Rating
Last year around 400 placement offers came from around 20 companies. The companies included both MNCs and local developing companies. Our placement cell also conducts programmes to increase students’ aptitude skills, speaking skills and soft skills.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel is very good. All the rooms have attached bathroom and there is also common bathroom. The mess facility is good. The mess food is hygienic and there is filter for water. Our hostel has a capacity of around 300 to 400 students. Currently there are around 150 students. The hostel also provides gym, library facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our college infrastructure is very good. We have wi-fi facilities throughout the campus including hostel. Our indoor stadium is one of the biggest stadiums in Madurai. We have multiple sports ground for cricket, football, handball, volleyball and basketball. Our college has also gym facilities. Our library is one of the well stocked libraries.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is very good. Frequently multiple Events are conducted like symposium, workshop, seminar, quiz to increase the skills of the students. College also conducts mini project competition for all the years with winners being sponsored for further. Our college conducts cultural fests in April or may and sports day is conducted in March.

    I got this college through counseling. This college is 10 km outward to main Madurai city. I got to know about this college through my brother who graduated in 2020. This college is overall a good engineering college in Madurai surroundings. It has good placement percentage. The fee is also very much affordable than other colleges.     I was allotted KLN College of Engineering through TNEA counseling. Our college is one of the top 3 colleges in the surrounding Madurai district. I chose the ECE department since I had a personal interest in the electronics side. I also had an interest in VLSI and the embedded field.     I choose KLNCE through the TNEA counselling and due to its good reputation in both the academics and the placement wise. I got this college through counselling. Before taking admission I asked to various students studying in the college, they all gave good comments about the college.     I got KLN College of Engineering through the counselling process. I had applied various colleges in the TNEA counselling, I had got this college through that. After that I also asked about the College to alumni and gave good things about the College. I got the seat in the 2nd round counselling.     Till now my overall experience of KLN College of Engineering is good. The college is in 11km distance from the main city Madurai. It's about 30 minutes travel distance.
