Unfabricated Opinion on the SJBIT Bangalore

Overall Rating
SJB Institute of Technology Bangalore is a decent Engineering Institute in Bangalore with friendly campus vibes and supportive faculty. It provides good exposure and growing opportunities in core branches like ECE, along with growing opportunities in AI and related fields. In my opinion, placements depend a lot on an individual knowledge. The Institution provides a stable environment to learn, explore clubs, participate in Hackathons, and build projects if you stay proactive & curious. The Institute helps the students in every possible way.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech in AI and ML course. Though, there are all the prominent branches like Data Science, Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, IT, etc. Admission process is very simple. You can get admission into the Institute by 3 way, first is via KCET scores, which is for Karnataka students only. Then, there is COMEDK, which is valid for students from all over india. 3rd is through Management quota. There are two internal exams and one end-sem exam conducted every semester. Academics are more theoretical than practical knowledge.
The fee structure totally depends on how student taken admission. For KCET students, it is Rs. 1,20,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/- per year. For COMEDK students, it goes upto Rs. 3,00,000/- to Rs. 3,34,000/-. For management seats, it is above Rs. 3,50,000/- P.A. Tho the hostel fee is are comparatively feasible. It is Rs. 1,00,000/- for 3 seaters rooms & Rs. 1,20,000/- for 2 seater rooms. Yes, scholarships are there.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is really good and knowledgeable. They are all Ph.D holders and have high expertise in their subject. They actively solve doubts of the students and encourage them. Their teaching method includes Blackboards, assignments, PPTs, etc. The teacher to student ratio is decent. The problem solving ability of the faculty is good. The ratio is nearly good I would say. Moreover, teachers are really very helpful not just for academics but with everything.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cellis responsible for training and placements of students. Even though, I'm a first year student so I don't know much about placements. But I've heard it's average. The average package is around 4 LPA to 5 LPA. HRD is conducted in every so that students can improve their soft skills and enhance their aptitude.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facility is available at SJBIT Bangalore. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The strength of girls' hostel would be nearly 200 to 250 students. Food quality is average but there are a lot of varieties. Moreover, hostel gate closing timing is around 9 PM. I would say, the experience is average
 

Infrastructure Rating
The SJB Institute of Technology Bangalore campus is big as compared to other Private Institutes in Bangalore. We have different Blocks for different branches and the Classrooms are spacious too. We have a lot of Seminar Halls, one big auditorium, all kind of laboratories, a big library etc. There are a few canteens, then a big playground for Football and Cricket, Also there are Basketball and Volleyball courts.
 

Campus Rating
Overall the campus life is average. The crowd is good. There are Clubs present for students to join and fests are also organised. My experience at this Institute has been decent. I wish the Institute would have more fests and events.
