CGC University Mohali From the Lens of 2nd Year Student

Overall Rating
My experience at CGC University Mohali is good and mainly focused on learning. I chose this University because of its infrastructure, placement opportunities, and exposure to the IT field. The environment is supportive and facility member help us in building strong strengthening our computer programming skills. The campus also has various club events and activities that improve confidence & skills. Overall, it has helped me a lot in enhancing my knowledge and personality.
 

Academics Rating
I chose BCA (with AI ML) course at University because of my strong interest in computer and technology. I have always been curious about house software and application work, which motivated me to enter the IT field. The admission process is simple and mainly based on scores of Class 12th (minimum 50%). my major motivation was to build a career in programming and software development. Practical exams are based on lab projects and viva.
Fee is about Rs. 54,000/- per semester. They also provide scholarship via CGCUET exam scores.
 

Faculty Rating
The faulty members of CGC Jhanjeri Mohali are so nice, friendly, and helpful. They also offer complete guidance regarding our career and life. The teachers and students ratio are like for 50 students, there is one teacher. In labs, the strength is about 20 to 25 students.
 

Placement Rating
Placement Cell at CGC University, Mohali is active. Training activities such as mock interviews, seminars, etc. are held for us. Average package ranges from 6 to 10 LPA, Amazon, TCS, Infosys, and others are University’s top recruiters.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes at University, hostels are available at the fee of Rs. 1,15,000/- to Rs. 1,98,000/- for one year with mess. Food is hygienic and very homely.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus infrastructure is good. Also, the total area of the University is approximately 32.35 scres. It has a smart classroom, Wi-Fi, computer labs, medical facilities, and much more. At the dispensary, doctor and other staff members are available to support us during health emergencies. Gym and sports are also available. My University’s best place is library for studying, as it is very quiet place.
 

Campus Rating
The University holds a lot of events, hackathons, fest, and other programs. The campus life is too good. The University is crowded and has people from different states. My experience about campus life is so good.

    So I joined CGC University, Mohali back in 2023. Talking about the course curriculum, it is also good as they teach us about AI and Data Science & also the concepts related to it. The University receieved its University status in 2025.
