ITS College of Pharmacy B.Pharm Review By Ankit Singh

ITS Pharmacy College Ghaziabad is good and it is affiliated to the Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut as well as this institute offer dental courses other than the pharmacy courses further more since college has its own hospital so do not worry about the practical aspect of the subjects because in each semester we can get internship in the hospital. I really liked the culture in the institute and support we get from the fellow students studying in various courses in the college. Other than these experiences the management of the college as well as the security in the institute is also very tight. I choose this institute since some of my relatives studied in this college so they inspire me to take admission in this college and now since I had studied in the college I can recommend studying in this institute.

People think that B. Pharma is a small degree and anyone can do this but this is not the truth. I studied in this course and I can say that Bachelor of Pharmacy is a hard professional course for which you should have the knowledge of theory as well as the knowledge of the practical subjects. Since most of the subjects in the course are related to the chemistry so if you are planning to study this course then you should focus more on the chemistry in your intermediate. For me I just visited ITS Pharmacy College for the admission process and there was no entrance test for the admission we just need submit the basic documents and then complete the registration process in the college and then submit the college course fee which is around ninety thousand per year excluding the residential charges.

Faculties were average and their style of teaching was good and the numbers of teachers in my department were around twenty and some of the teachers from the dental department also taught us. I was impressed by the Laboratory teachers and their way of teaching further more they encourage us to do extra practical in our extra time in the college and they also gave us the opportunity to miss the boring classes and to spend more time in the lab as well as they convince us to give our time in the hospital such that we can get more and more exposure of the real time situations. Academic background of the teachers was great including their research work and they completed their work in good institute of our country.

Since there are not many pharma companies that visit the campus but college cell for the placements try to convince the companies to visit the campus for the recruitment process. Some companies like Cipla, Pfizer, Sun Pharma etc. visit the campus every year and each company roughly takes around 20-30 students at the CTC of around 4 to 5 Lakh per annum but students can apply for the jobs outside the campus and one of our college student got placed in Mankind Pharma at a offer of 10 Lakh per annum. I did not get placed in the college since I was planning to get a Masters degree in pharmacy such that I can get some good jobs after completing my pharmacy. There are some good internship opportunities in the campus like we can work in Max Hospital, Apollo Hospital, J P Hospital etc.

I stayed in the campus hostel only in my first year and after that I stayed outside the college. I was not getting good feelings inside the college hostel since the hostels are very old and there are no good facilities inside the campus so I left the college hostel. Fee was also a main reason to leave the hostel which was around one lakh for a year including the mess charges for a room which has two students. There are really good rooms are available outside the campus and we can get them on a very less price then the college hostel. Like my room rent was around 2500 per month and the food charge would be around 3000 per month hence one month spend would be around 6000 including some extra charges. Being a day scholar we can also participate in all the extracurricular activities in the campus.

There would be around 20 building in the campus and half of them are residential blocks since there are hostels also for the teachers and for the doctors. There is a one academic block for the pharmacy department and there are many good amenities in the campus block like there are very good conference rooms in the block along with the good class rooms with all the main equipment in the classes including the projectors and some classes have the smart board. Best thing of the college should be the laboratories in the ITS college and not only the labs of the pharmacy lab but also the lab of the all the course of the institute. There is a hospital inside the campus naming Surya Hospital. Other amenities that are available in the institute are a pharmacy, strong security, sports ground, good auditorium and a nice library.

Institute's life is very different than the normal life since I came from a very humble background and I can sense the difference between the conventional life and the life inside the college. There are many extracurricular activities that happen in the college like fests are organized on each festival and almost every participated in those events. There are two main events that happen in the college and the first one is the sports fest happen in the November and I cultural fest including a star night in the month of December. Many clubs are formed in the college and some of my favorite clubs are Fashion Society, Sparks Club, ITS dance club, ITS singing club, ITS shayari club etc. My life at the institute was good and it gave me a lifelong learning and taught me a lot.
