GGU Bilaspur Offers Admission via Online Mode

I opted B.Com (Hons.) program in GGU Bilaspur through CUET. They have many seats. The fee structure is super affordable. Facilities are fine. There are AC classrooms, gym, sports ground, and other amenities. My experience has been good because campus life here is not only about studies but also about meeting new people enjoying events and creating memories.

I chose this course as I am driven towards finance. My main motive was to choose a course, which is easy not, too outdated or overhyped but have some weightage and with that I can prepare for UPSC and do different side hustle.. You have to appear for CUET for admission in the course. In 10+2, you should score somewhere 230+ out of combined 500. You need to have studied Commerce and Accounts in class 12th too. After CUET results, apply on University by filling necessary details. Once a shortlist data is published, you will get an email regarding it. Examinations occur in every 6 months and one month before finals, practical, viva, and assignment starts. I had some interesting subjects like Digital Awareness, Cyber Crime, etc. it helped me in real life knowledge and understanding overall a good reality checks for life.

My course fee is a total of Rs. 36,780/- There are no extra charges applicable for the course library. Discounts are not given as being a Central University fees are very much affordable. However, in special circumstances, you can request management for discounts.

My chosen course had like a faculty who all were teaching since 15+ years. Our Accounts Teacher was the teaching since 30 years. He was nice friendly supportive and guiding through difficulties. Same as with all other professors, they were like friend but yeah some professors were not good their teaching was like below average especially low credit subject teachers but they are exceptions. Mostly, each teacher used blackboard and group discussion for teaching. PPTs were just assignment and presentation part. Teacher to student ratio was typically, for 50 students in a class, there was one professor available. The HoD sir was too friendly mostly with student or teacher or at class rounds highly interactive with everyone. There was no issue in meeting top management or teachers as you can even message them at night for your doubt queries, they were like friends to us literally awesome.

Yes, the University did offer residential facilities. There were 4 girls’ hostel and 3 to 4 boys’ hostels too. I think the hostels have total of 500 student’s capacity for both boys and girls. It had coolers, fans, lift, free Wi-Fi, inverter, and daily cleaning. Mess food quality was average, had a good menu for the whole week. Hostel fees was Rs. 4500/- per month and Rs. 3000/- security deposit (refundable).

Campus area is 655 acres. From entrance, it takes 5 minutes to walk up to the first building. Commerce department, Zoology department, Law & Commerce department, Physics department, and Biotech Forestry are in front of Administrative office. Next to administrative office, there is Rajat Jayanti Auditorium and next to it is cafeteria. On right side while entering on opposite lane, there is an infirmary. Departments have their own specified area where they perform practical. The city is just 6 KM away and University area is decent if it comes to locality. My favorite place is cafeteria as I spend most of my time with friends there as well as library to study at peace. There are projectors for PPTs, AC, Auditorium, gym, huge playground, and almost every basic amenity anyone could offer.

My overall campus life at GGU Bilaspur was decent. The campus is big and peaceful; especially during evenings when students just chill around with friends. The crowd is mixed, as some students are very active and talented while some just come for classes and leave. You easily find people from different states and backgrounds so interaction becomes interesting. There are different clubs in the University related to culture, dance, music, coding, and sports. I was not deeply involved in every club but participated in few activities and events whenever possible. Extracurricular activities happen regularly. Fest and events are honestly one of the best parts of campus life.
