Merit and Need Based Scholarships are Offered by DDUC New Delhi

According to me, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College New Delhi is a really good College of Delhi University. It might be off campus, but it has all the facilities available that are not even present in North or south campus. This College is in Dwarka, sector-3 and the nearest metro station to it is 'Dwarka Mor' and any rickshaw puller can take you there. I got this College in csas spot round and I will tell you various reasons why it is one of the best Colleges in DU. One thing that I really like about this College am that something or the other keeps happening every month. Departmental fests, annuals fest called 'Kalrav', seminars, workshops, NGO visits, etc. Overall, I would say that despite it being an off campus College, it offers various facilities to students.

The course I have opted is B.A. Entry in this course of the College is via CSAS counselling. There are two IAs (internals) and a CA (continuous assessment). Internals will have one fixed exam that will in a week and is of 12 marks, any other test solely depends on teachers whether she wants to take tests or give assignments instead. In addition, if you have enough attendance you will gets 5 marks each in IA and CA, which according to me are free 10 marks.

Fee might be higher than most DU Colleges as it goes upto Rs. 30,000/- (this is for General category students). However, the College compensates for it really well. There are various scholarships which are given on the basis of merit and need.

Faculty here is really good. They are very understanding and supportive. They co-operate with students regarding everything such academics, attendance, marks, trips, and events. Every student here has a favorite teacher. In my course, every teacher has done masters and some have either completed their Ph.D or are currently pursuing it. Every teacher has a different method of teaching style. There is perfect number of teachers to teach us. I share a very good bonding with all my teachers and as I said all of them are really sweet, you can approach them with no hesitation.

Infrastructure of the DDUC New Delhi is really good. Six-floor building with lifts available for students, three floor AC libraries, auditorium, computer labs, science labs, centralised AC, and Wi-Fi for students. Sports room is also available. Classrooms are big and have projectors as well. Each floor is designated to different departments. Medical rooms are available.

Overall campus life is really good. However, you will have to travel at least half an hour to go somewhere because there are only two malls near it for hanging out with your friends. Although every year new spots are opening. Annual fests also happen. Departmental fests, workshops, seminars, elections, and NGO visits. College keeps on trying new things, this year they did bhawan clubbing and it was successful. Each year, they are trying to do something different for the students. Sports tournaments and cultural activities are also planned each year.
