NIAT Hyderabad is Recognised by AICTE

I am a student at NIAT and currently I am in my 3rd year. I am from btech CSE background and my experience till date is very good. The curriculum is very updated and it does not follow old out dated syllabus that are of no use for the real world and industry exposure. The curriculum is very tech oriented and it's making us ready for the real world outside college. Also the factor that we get access to internships from our 1st year itself is a very rare thing that we usually don't get from other institutions.

Coding culture is very strong and unlike other Institutions where coding is given importance only during last year, here coding is made important since our 1st year itself. Daily we practice coding, and there are several competitions and hackathons that inspire and motivate us to learn more and do better. Eligibility depends on NAT exam, which is the entrance test for NIAT. Students are even eligible to get scholarships depending on how much they score on the NAT exam. The eligibility to join also depends on it as there are no other competitive exams. The academics and curriculum helps us to get prepared for the real life challenges that we will face after Institution.

The fee that I pay yearly is Rs. 2,00,000/-, which includes the hostel & mess fees. There is no extra charge for gym. Scholarship is provided based on the marks we score on NAT exam, which is the entrance test for NxtWave Institute of Advanced Technologies, Hyderabad.

The mentors and faculty members are very helpful. They are always supportive in every aspect be it classroom, doubts or projects. The teaching method is unique as all the classrooms have smart boards also mostly practical oriented techniques are used for learning.

The Placement Cell is there to help in career after academics. The Institute has connections with over 3000 companies and start-ups. I got internship opportunity during my 1st year and did that for 6 months.

The hostel is very clean. I stay in a double sharing rooms where we have separate beds and wardrobes for each one of us. The rooms and washrooms are cleaned daily. However, the food quality is good but the taste can be better. Girls and boys have separate hostels and buildings. The hostel warden is very strict even for boy’s hostel.

The infrastructure is not that huge but it is clean & maintained. The classrooms are very well equipped with all the latest technologies and equipments. The classes have good Wi-Fi speed and seats are also spacious with charging cable at each seat because we need laptops. The labs are big and have all the equipments that are required. The library is also good but the cafeteria can improve. The food variety is very less though.

Overall, the campus life for me is very good because I have good friends who enjoy and have fun along with motivating me to work hard and do better. Many tech clubs are there as well. Through these, I get to know about my seniors too and get their insights regarding so many areas. However, there are hardly any fests or cultural programs. However, there are very frequent coding competitions and hackathons.
