KU Jorhat is Glorious University of North-East India

Overall Rating
It has been 3 years that I am a part of this University and what a journey it was. I had selected this University because it was the most affordable Pharmacy University in the North East and also as it is in the heart of Assam i.e., in Kaziranga. This University has taught me discipline, to love the nature, to love myself. I am a hosteller so I spent a lot of time with the nature of the University. Its education is super class. The teachers teaching here are very friendly and supportive throughout the degree.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm). It is a four year degree. I have chosen this one because I always wanted to study medicine and this University serves as one of the best Pharmacy education in North East. The eligibility criteria is very simple. One needs to qualify 12th Standard with PCM/PCB/PCMB as their selected subject in 10+2 and pass in all the subjects. Exams happen here in semester wise. Total 8 semester exams are there. We have 2 sessionals exams in each semester as well. Academic preparation helps us improve our technical and practical knowledge to solve real life challenges.
Admission fee is Rs. 20,000/- and registration fee is Rs. 10,000/- & a total of Rs. 70,000/- is to be paid in each semester. Total fee for 8 semesters with sums upto Rs. 5,20,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of The Assam Kaziranga University, are. There are 25 faculties in the School of Pharmacy. The faculties are distributed for each subject wise domain of his or her qualification and specialisation. The faculties here have been pursuing a Ph.D degree. They are already qualified in M.Pharm from a recognised University. The way of their teaching process is remarkable and very knowledgeable. The teachers engagement with the students is very great, whenever we have doubts regarding anything, we can make direct call to them and they solves our doubt.
 

Placement Rating
We are yet to get placed so can’t speak much about the experience.
 

Hostel Rating
The University provides hostel facilities. I am a hosteller and the hostel rooms are very clean. They offer 4, 3, and 2 seater rooms. The washrooms of the hostel is very clean. Proper cleaning is done by the sweepers. The distance between the classrooms and the hostel is very less.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are basically department wise buildings inside the campus. The buildings are modern type building which is a 4 story building. These buildings contains lifts for easy and smooth communication. There are numerous classrooms in each block. Each classroom contains AC facilities. The benches are of premium quality. It also has sports facilities. There are conference rooms for seminars.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is quite happening. We have a lot of place inside the campus to hang out. It is one of the best places for everyone to make new friends. Fests in the campus are QRST (Quest Rhythm Spark Thrill), TechBlitz, and Sur-Taal, which are very engaging.
