KGCE Karjat is a Decent College

Overall Rating
My experience in Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering, Karjat is decent. I would give the College 3 out of 5. It is around 3 KMs from Karjat railway station. From there, students can easily reach to the campus via local transport. The campus facilities are good. The students are also good and friendly.
 

Academics Rating
I am studying in Computer Engineering. The College is affiliated to Mumbai University. Academics are okay. Attendance is not very big issue in especially in my program. Exams are conducted according to the norms of affiliating University pattern. One good thing is teachers generally give good marks in internals if you complete assignments, practicals and other work.
For open category students, the fee is around Rs. 1.05,000/-. The fees can change depending on the year. Some scholarships are available at the campus.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are decent. Some teachers are really good. Most of the teachers are approachable. During internals, teachers are supportive. I don’t have any major complaint about the faculty. They are okay and we can talk to them whenever there is some academic problem.
 

Placement Rating
Placement of the University is average. Companies visit the campus for placement drives. Students should not depend completely on the College for placements.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is okay and the view from the College is very good. It has lot of greenery. Classrooms and labs are decent and practicals can be done properly. Facilities like classrooms, auditorium, seminar hall, sports, and much more are available for the students.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good mainly because of the students. The crowds here are good. Most of the students are friendly and helpful. It is easy to make friends and spend time with them. College events and activities are held from time to time.
