Overall Rating
The Guru Kashi University is one of the leading universities of India. It is the only university in the region recognized by Indian Council of Agriculture Research for B.Sc. (Hons.)- Agriculture-4 Year course, that makes it better option for students who want to study Agriculture Sciences but didn't get selected in entrance exams of State Agriculture Universities.
 

Academics Rating
The B.Sc. (Hons.)- Agriculture is a 4 year course in which the biological, physical, chemical and economical aspects of Indian Agriculture are studied. The Course is accredited by Indian Council for Agriculture Research, New Delhi. The student who passed senior secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Math/ Agriculture subjects and secured minimum 60% marks is eligible for the course. After completing course, one should go for Research in Agriculture field, get job in Agricultural Companies and Agriculture Department.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of Guru Kashi University are well educated, highly qualified as per the norms of UGC and ICAR, New Delhi. Faculty have work experience in their related field. As Agriculture is more a practical subject, teaching is mainly based on field practical and lab experiments. Teachers have full knowledge of handling lab equipments, teaching through practical. Theoretical part is covered through PowerPoint slides, presentations and assignments. Along with prescribed syllabus, teachers also help students in personality development, effective communication and job oriented skills.
 

Placement Rating
University have active Placement Cell that provides career assistance to the students after completing their courses. Job fair is organized every year where renowned companies visit and recruit the students.
 

Hostel Rating
University has separate hostels for Boys, Girls and International students. Option of AC/ Non- AC room is available for the students according to their choice. The rooms are enough large for comfortable living. Hostels are provided with 24 hour power backup, Free Wi-Fi connectivity, RO drinking water and attached washrooms. Inter- hostel sports tournaments, Festival celebrations and other activities are organized for the students so they shouldn't miss their home.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The university is divided into 8 Blocks named as Block-A, Block- B and so on according to the different departments and courses. The departments have well equipped laboratories, separate libraries in each block. The class are equipped with smart class systems. The university has a central library with access to International magazines, Journals, Research Papers and a stock of over 1.2 lac books. Online portal is provided to the students for their easy connectivity to the university officials.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is joyful having a friendly environment. The lush green campus of the university creates a positive vibe in student's mind. Youth festivals, Sports meets, Weekly events and other co-curricular activities are organized time to time for refreshing the mind of students. Educational tours, industrial visits, Short trainings are provided to the students to develop job oriented skills in them.

    First of all I choose this university because our university is ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research) recognised university. There are only 2 private universities in Punjab that are recognised with ICAR. Our university is one of them.
