One of the best and most affordable college in Bokaro

Overall Rating
I choose this college because it was one of the best for the course that I was going to select that is B.Sc Mathematics. I was also recommended this college by my teacher who was also an ex student at Bokaro Steel City College. Overall I would say it was a good decision of me to go for this college as the professors were real friendly in mathematics department.
 

Academics Rating
For B.Sc mathematics honors you are required to have achieved at least 45 marks in mathematics 12th board exams. The admission process of Bokaro Steel City College is a bit confusing but that is acceptable. Talking about my course Mathematics is not that easy but with proper guidance of teachers and a little bit of hard work it is also not that tough to understand.
 

Faculty Rating
Our mathematics department professors were very well educated and always friendly. They were giving us online classes even in the COVID lockdown period. We had many offline and online classes which was real help when it came to understanding the syllabus and preparing for exams. Professors teaching style was good for me but I think some students will have a difficult time if they don't pay attention to every word that comes out of professor's mouth.
 

Hostel Rating
There are hostels but since I was not in the hostel so I will not be able to comment on the facilities it had. Looking from outside the hostel building looked damaged.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College being not that old the infrastructure in poorly maintained and is not what I had pictured in my mind before getting admission in the college. The classes were very old looking and the benches and tables were broken too. There is a library in the college but no place inside to sit down and study you have to take required book and bring it home. Also you are only given one book at a time.
 

Campus Rating
College campus is kept clean but since there is no proper parking facility the campus gets crowded in the time of exams and admissions. Never saw any fest in the college but some sports tournaments were organized by the college also in my 3 years in college the Annual function was held in college once.

  • Affordable but not good for academics

    I choose the Bokaro Steel City College because I had no other options. It was the COVID-19 lockdown period and my 12th board results came out very late in July of 2020. Most of the colleges had already closed their admissions by then. City college is very close to where I live and I had already planned to pursue my graduation with B.Sc Physics which was available at city college.   • Perfect College for Non Regular Students

    Bokaro Steel City College is overall good but there is lack of some facilities like sports facilities, extra curriculum activities. Campus of the college is large. There is proper facility of library, hostel and auditorium. It is the best college for those students who are curious to join NCC. But sadly there is no facility of canteen.     I graduated from Bokaro Steel City College. Spending three years of my academic life there gave me enough authority to write review about it. Starting with admission, the process of admission is mostly online. Students have to fill online forms and then wait for their names in cut-off list.
