Patel College of Engineering is today one of the prime institutes in the locality of Kherva, Mehsana which aims to provide the best pool of resources in teaching and providing top-notch skills in the course of M.Tech in Construction Management and Engineering. Being a student one of the tedious tasks is to fit into any admission process; from filling up the form to submitting the documents & securing the seat, but here the admission process flow is so simply designed that you can fill-up the form online as step 1 and now you are just 2 steps away from getting admission. From the administrative staff to PG coordinator is always share a helping hand in the admission process.

U.V. Patel College of Engineering under the label of Ganpat University started this course back in 1997 when very few other institutes were providing a Degree in M. Tech Construction Engineering and Management. For this particular course, the Institute is affiliated with many construction professionals and very prime consultants of the industry to serve as visiting faculty. With the combination of Internal faculties, visiting faculties, Practical Assignments, and assessment systems make it a perfect choice for any Civil Engineering who wants to boost their career by pursuing M.Tech.

To pursue this course all you need is B.E. or B. Tech degree with a minimum 50% score. My reason to join this course was back in 2016-2018 there was an immense scope in the construction management industry. I was looking for an institute that can provide me the real insights of the industry and who can take me to the minor management aspects of the construction industry. The subject which was designed and divided into 3 semesters was exceptional because being a student you at a time you want to learn a lot and that too without getting feeling of burden.

Each subject meets its outcomes. One of the finest things about this course was, all your evaluation depends upon what you prepare and represent rather what you remember and write in examination. Each subject consisting of 4-5 real-time assignments that we needed to submit in the form of a report and presentation which helped me in building my communication, documentation, and presentation skills. Affiliating with this institute doesn’t give the guarantee of 100% job placement by campus but on the other hand, the course makes you so powerful that there is no scope of being jobless after pursuing it.

At M. Tech Construction Engineering and Management there were 4 in-house faculty including the PG Coordinator. A few of the subjects every semester was shared by Internal and visiting faculties and that was I guess masterstroke of the college management. By learning from the Internal faculties and visiting faculties gives you the best of the subject – Hence the requirements of your academics are fulfilled and your practical field learning is also being done parallel. The average Experience of the internal faculties was nearly 4 years at that time but that experience was also including the fieldwork, so it helped us.

The internal faculties were fully qualified as per the standard norms of UGC and the visiting faculties provided by the institute were having a vast experience like I remember one of my subject Strategic management was taught by Mr. Dhaval Mehta who studied at Harvard University and has plenty of experience at teaching at Harvard. For one of the project management software, Mr. Keyur Shah was leading faculty who has field experience more than 10 years in the construction line. Every faculty taught the subject in-depth with their software applications by conducting Lab sessions were not only construction fundamentals were taught but entire software with its function and operation it was taught.

Ganpat University posses of the largest and well-maintained infrastructure. Dedicated classrooms and laboratory for each engineering division. The campus was having a huge library that a student can just think of! 38000+ books and you can avail whichever book you want to read with the use of I-Card. There were excellent playgrounds were being a civil engineer you can take up your practice and also dedicated Cricket ground where every year there are tournaments played between interdepartmental and Inter-colleges.

Every year sports-fest, Tech-Fest, and cultural festivals are organized by students and college management. The standard of these events is an up-to-the-mark also the campus is having beautifully designed walkways and tree-plantation which creates very soothing environments for the students. There is an excellent auditorium hall on the campus which is centrally air-conditioned. The campus gives the facilities of an in-house canteen that serves quality food at affordable rates. Overall, there is always a lively atmosphere being to the campus.
