IILM University B.Tech Review By Naushin Fatima

IILM University is a lovely place. I'm a first year student here and my experience so far have been excellent as I'm really enjoying my time here. I had offer letters from many other universities too but I chose IILM mainly due to its excellent faculty, large campus, and hostel facilities. The infrastructure of the University is really good and it is embedded with all kinds of facilities like AC, sports ground and instruments, large mess, gym facility, laundry facility, proper safety and security, etc. The crowd is quite diverse and very friendly. A lot of opportunities are provided by the university in terms of industry exposure, internships and events. Anyone who's looking for a campus with ragging free environment, helpful faculty, and a good infrastructure should definitely choose IILM. It's really amazing.

I am a first year B. Tech CSE student. The course has been designed really well and it includes all the important subjects with practical exposures. Recently a new subject has also been introduced which is to prepare students for the placements. This course basically comprises of topics like aptitude, reasoning, etc. The entry requirements for the course are that you should be 12th pass with a good result and it would be better if you have given the JEE exam. There are also scholarships given to students based on their academic performance. The eligibility criteria is simple and you should perform well to fit into it. My motive for enrolling in this program was that I always wanted to do engineering so I choose to do B. Tech in CSE from IILM University.

Faculty of IILM is the best thing about it. Almost all the faculty members are PhD holders and a lot of them are currently pursuing their PhD too. Professors are really supportive and ready to help you anytime. Classes are done very professionally and in a friendly manner, keeping the students comfortable. Background of all the faculty members is good and appreciable. Their teaching style varies as per their personalities but their motivation and enthusiasm towards delivering the content to students is always same and excellent.

Our university has a very active and good placement cell. It is guided by the top faculty members and is lead by the excellent students of IILM. The main motto of this placement cell is to ensure that maximum students get placed in good companies with a good package. A lot of work is done in helping students get involved with useful internships, build their CV and get connected with the right companies and people. A lot of good companies like Infosys and Wipro visit our campus.

Hostel facilities of IILM University are amazing. Cleanliness and hygiene is maintained with top most priority. There are 2 types of hostels on our campus, one is 3-sharing and the other is non-sharing. Both come up with a bed, a wooden chair, a wooden table, a big wardrobe, a side table, a mattress and an AC. Bathrooms are cleaned on a regular basis and the corridors are also kept clean. Overall hostel life is good. Infrastructure is amazing and the recreational activities provided are just fantastic.

There are 2 academic blocks on our campus, one is called the IGSM building and the other is called the CT side building or H block. Infrastructure is excellent here. Campus is very large, green and peaceful, and all the buildings are spacious. There is a big and beautiful mess here while the other is under construction right now and will be ready soon. Regarding sports, there are 2 badminton courts, 1 volleyball court, 1 basketball court, 1 big ground for cricket, handball, etc. and also a big gym with all the instruments in it. There are a lot of labs like robotics lab, mechanics lab, computer lab, etc. Overall the amenities available are really good.

Campus life is amazing. The crowd of IILM varies from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. A lot of students from diverse backgrounds come here. The atmosphere is maintained as such that it helps everyone come together with a sense of friendliness and open mindedness. There are a lot of clubs formed by students and lead by a faculty member like sports club, cultural club, debate club, etc. Fests are organised on a regular basis. Almost every week there are 2-3 events going on in college.
