Maharshi Dayanand University B.Tech Review By Shreya Sharma

My overall experience of my graduation from Maharishi Dayanand University is excellent, and I am satisfied with the type of education and facilities provided by the campus. The education level of the University is also A1. It is a NAAC A++ graded university. You can get admission through your JEE mains ranking, and you need to fill the form from the Maharishi Dayanand University website.

Exams are held regularly, and I must say that teachers give their 100% for giving knowledge to students. There are labs and physical tours organized by teachers to provide practical knowledge to students. Teachers are so corporative that students can ask any time for help. The facilities provided are excellent for giving students practical knowledge.

I studied at Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak and I feel privileged to be a part of it. I completed my graduation in Bachelors’ technology Computer Science from this institution. The overall fee for complete 4 years is nominal as it is a government university and that is Rs. 4 lakhs (approx). I got placed from campus in HCL.

The faculty is great for the B.Tech in computer science. The teachers are very cooperative and understanding. Regular assignments are given and the main focus is provided on practical knowledge rather than bookish. There are about the strength of 25 teachers for handling 180 students divided into a class of 90 each. The faculty teachers are M.Tech and Ph.D.'s and most are having teaching experience of 5+ years. Teachers are excellent in teaching their subjects and resolving the doubts of students.

Though placements are average students can try offline also to get placed. Also, a job fair is organized every year for the whole state on our university campus. Companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Collabera, etc. visit the campus. About 30-40% of students got a placement through the campus.

There are also hostel facilities are separate for both boys and girls. There are many hostel buildings altogether comprised of both boys and girls hostel area. The hostel facilities are winsome as you get a proper 3-time meal in hostel mess and all basic necessary things are available. There is a 24*7 Wi-Fi facility offered at the hostel and on the campus.

There are various cultural events organized in a hostel on major festivals. As the university has a big campus area so free cab facility is also provided for the students. The hostel has a well-maintained security system for the convenience of students and to avoid any miss-happening.

The best thing about the University is it is spread over an area of about 665.44 acres and it has a well-maintained infrastructure. In the university, there are different buildings for various other courses and each building has an inbuilt library for its department. There is also the main library which is named Vivekananda library is opened 24*7 for students. There is also Universal Food Orbit popularly called UFO inside the campus to hang out with friends. There are also shops for basic things like photo-copy and daily necessities inside the campus.

The Tagore auditorium is Asia’s biggest auditorium in MDU Campus where all the cultural events and other occasional or competitive events take place. The campus also has Radha Krishnan Auditorium for small gatherings and events. The beautiful Rose garden on the campus is a perfect place for exercising and yoga. You can explore the beauty of seasonal flowers there and you will be mesmerized by the beauty of flowers. There are also medical facilities offered as PGI hospital is there near campus.

The Maharishi Dayanand University is famous for sports. It is best to place for students looking for opportunities in Sports. The sports complex has various sports courts like wrestling, badminton, volleyball, football, and cricket ground. There is also a swimming pool and you can get teachers to train you in any sports you are interested in. All the state level and national level sports competition are organized at the university sports complex. Students get the opportunity to showcase their sports skills and polish their talent. There is also a committee for cultural and drama where interested students can enhance their dancing, singing, and drama skills. There is a great scope of opportunities that you get in this university. The university also comprises a helipad.

The University campus also organizes tours for faraway places like Nainital, Goa, etc. at the nominal process as they have their own resorts there. Also, you can enroll in NCC and get the certificate for being a part of them as long as you want. You can also get various scholarships offered by the university like the Radhakrishnan Scholarship for merit students. There are also concerts organized in the university.
