Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University B.Tech Review By Deepti Goel

Coming from a traditional Marwari family asking my parents for going to Pune was a huge ask. As soon as my parents saw Bharati Vidyapeeth University Pune Campus they allowed me. The campus is safe and has all the facilities that one needs during a college time. The campus is something that I can boast as long I can. This was one of the reasons why I got entry to this college. Not just the campus but the teachers, facilities, activities that takes place and last but not the least the hostel where I had spent 2 memorable years is hard to go by. I have loved every bit of it in the college and will have to say that Bharti Vidyapeeth has shown me the way forward. A girl entering an engineering college was an old thing but come to Bharti Vidyapeeth, the ratio is quite high.

The only reason the college is rated highly because of the academic value that it holds. The classrooms are huge and digital equipment’s are on display. The teaching methods are unique and great at the same time. The attendance is very strict. No matter what if it’s less than 80%, you need a good enough reason or you are not sitting for the exams. The classes’ timings are quite lengthy and sometimes the toll becomes too heavy. To score high in the exams it takes a lot as the studies are just too tough. I have actually killed my brother who told me that if you attend classes sincerely in engineering, you are done. Well, that may be the case in some other college but not Bharti Vidyapeeth. The practical sessions are conducted every alternate day and are mostly organized in teams. Thus, the college has done a great job to keep the study environment alive at the campus.

The faculty is awesome. One can argue there are multiple professors for a single subject but this may be because of the expertise they hold in. I have seen many students complain about the same but the management know the best way a certain topic can be implanted in them. The faculty is also very easy to approach and weekends are mostly the extra classes and extra fun sessions with the faculty. One can raise all their doubts and extra classes are organized the same week by the faculty to make sure no one lags.

Many students blames the college for not getting placements but if you have scored well throughout and have conducted well during the PI, there’s no way that will be left empty handed. The placement department of the college is something that many envy about. Auto companies used to be the king at the placements but IT sector has taken over it seems. All the top notch IT companies are at the campus during placements. Placement ratio is great and the students who are left behind are themselves to be blamed.

I have stayed in 2 hostels thus far as there are 6 hostel buildings for girls and sadly just one for the boys. One building among the girls hostel is reserved for medical students and the engineering students have occupied 2 wings. Block B and Block C. The first year I was in block B which was relatively small and the following year, I was transferred to block C. The block C hostel has mammoth rooms and super clean area in and around the hostel. The hostel is been cleaned twice and rooms once every day. Separate beds, cupboards and desks are provided in each Wi-Fi enabled room. There is one common area, huge mess that has taken care of us all the while. From breakfast to dinner, it serves all and has Saturday evening specials as well. The only thing if it can change is the menu’s variety as sometimes we couldn’t stop ourselves from skipping the meals at hostel and step out for meals. The hostel timing for girls hostel is too strict as 8.30 pm is our deadline and post that a lot of enquiry is done as why we are late and do our parents knows about the same. Thus, hostel is great and I just love it.

The college infrastructure is European styled. The lush green outfield with beautifully crafted buildings. All the buildings are well equipped and has washrooms for girls at each floor. There are some other shops as well at the campus and therefore we hardly have to step out for basic needs. From Kirana store to Medical shop, ATM to bank branch, the campus have everything one long for. There are many canteens as well and a large auditorium that can fit nearly 1000 students. Guest lectures and award ceremonies is conducted inside that. The best part is that while I am not at home, my parents know that their daughter is safe as the college has round the clock security as well.

The campus life is good. All the faculty students live together inside a nearly 100 acres campus. The fests, the college sports day and the college annual meets, loved being a part of them all. The engineering students are creative and one needs to come and see our campus in person to see how creative engineering students can be besides handling machines.
