If a student wants lush green campus, a whole lot of extra-curricular activities and an above average package when he has scored not so well in JEE to get an IIT, NIT then KNIT Sultanpur is a perfect place. This college is under Uttar Pradesh Government and apart from its location disadvantage; it has improved a lot in these years.

This college has mainly two programs in engineering which are Bachelor of Technology and master's in technology. From previous 3-4 years, JEE score is the criteria for counseling in this college through UPCET website. One should have under 1lakh rank to sure shot your selection in the college for good branch. My motive for enrollment in this college was that it is famous for imparting good knowledge in core branches which I preferred and lots of alumni from this college are in good places like ISRO, NTPC, etc.

I have chosen Mechanical Engineering and honestly you have to do a lot of hard work to get through this course. Lots of assignments, project works, tough papers etc. Faculty members are experts in their fields and therefore honestly if you want to pass you've to hustle a lot. Almost all the faculty members are PhD or M.Tech from IITs or NITs and their style of teaching includes traditional methodical ways in which mechanical engineering is studied.

Yes, we have a Career Development Cell in our college which remains active throughout the year in getting the students placed in good companies. Honestly, this cell has to work a lot on this front because of the location disadvantage this college faces, prima facie companies are hesitant to come but in recent years many good companies have visited our college. Ex-Incture, Ittiam, etc.

Hostel life here is awesome one, as the town outside is small; this college has created a high-level environment for grasping student’s attention towards recreational activities. As the college is old enough, facilities keep on improving but are not at par with that of IITs. There are major councils in the college for recreational activities like Literary council, Cultural Council, Startup Cell and sports of all kind Cricket, Football, Table tennis, basketball and frequent events and tournaments happen in the campus.

Academic block from outside looks too old but it has all facilities inside, fully air conditioned, Seminar halls etc. Labs are also well maintained and new equipment are being brought regularly. Library is being renovated but it is not so big and therefore students adjust to study in the library.

Overall campus life is above average, it attracts the attention of the small-town people who praise you when you go in the city. Annual fest 'Anubhuti' is a cultural fest of the college and for sports 'Annual Sports Championship' between different branches had taken place earlier this summer. Different sports leagues have also been conducted to enhance physical capabilities and to represent in other colleges like IIT BHU spardha event and IIT Kanpur cultural fest Antaragni.
