Overall Balanced College even without Campus

Overall Rating
My experience at IIIT Bhopal has been great so far, our classes are held inside MANIT as IIIT doesn't have its own campus. There are many events organised at small scale. The sports facilities aren't good. We can access to MANIT sports complex but with so much restrictions and permission, it's almost impossible. The fest here is NIIMACK which happened for the first time in 2023 and was a success. Students live in apartments nearby MANIT and attend college. I hate the 75% attendance criteria.
 

Academics Rating
One can get admission into IIIT Bhopal through JEE Mains rank under 40k for general, the academics here aren't that great. You have to study on your own. The syllabus is well oriented to the modern age curriculum. Library access is given, but mostly students study from PDFs provided by teachers or YouTube videos.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are well qualified but not up to the mark, most of the time you won't get what they are teaching, and you might feel lost if you don't study on your own. But it's the story of most of the colleges. You have to study on your own. The faculties are from MANIT on contract basis but I don't think any of them are as good as JEE teachers; you will have to give your efforts. Nature wise they are very helpful and caring. You won't face difficulty with faculty here.
 

Placement Rating
Yes IIIT Bhopal has its own independent placement cell. The placements here are great as shown on website. It is a bit low in 2023 due to recession but students are getting good internship opportunities and also placements in top MNCs.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel for the first year is provided in RGPV and NITTR. The mess and accommodation is good. Bus facility is provided to reach college from hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College doesn't have its own campus; it works in a tin shed building inside MANIT called New Teaching Block or NTB. The classes are fine with projectors and big white board. The students in a class are less hence it's easy to understand. Sports facilities are provided in MANIT Sports Complex only during special occasions. Water purifiers and washrooms are good.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life is well balanced. There are many events related to technical and cultural activities. Various speakers and sessions by clubs as GDSC, Codame, etc. are invited and practical knowledge is imparted to students. The fest is NIIMACK which is a techno-cultural fest of IIIT Bhopal which includes 3 days or more or technical and cultural events.

As it currently in MANIT Bhopal, students get benefits like fests, sports activities, exhibitions, etc. Placements of this college are better than other IIITs. Although we don't have a permanent campus still, we have a campus at NIT Bhopal where we can access the requirements like lab, sports complex, canteens etc. And overall, we have a rich culture here where we can grow and foster our personality and explore different domains....
