Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Chennuru Anita

I have started my journey in Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad in 2020, in short called as CBIT. I got admission through EAMCET in Telangana. The campus is huge and has all lab facilities and library facilities too. It has good infrastructure but some of the buildings are old as it the second old university in Hyderabad and they are trying to renovate them too. The academics are good but teaching explanation can be improved and opportunities for jobs, placements are more when compared to all other universities in Hyderabad. Overall, I can say this is the good university in Hyderabad for education and placement purposes.

I am enrolled in Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science - IoT, Cyber Security including Block Chain. This is the very new batch introduced in the Telangana in 2020. My batch is the first batch, because of this reason there is some clutter in syllabus formation and all. But the explanation and subjects are very useful for the current industries. All the basic subjects which are required for placements are covered. Especially if you join in IT, it will be great opportunity for all other placements. But subjects are useful. There are no specific entry requirements because they previous semester subjects will be the only entry requirements, Eligibility to get seat in CBIT is to get rank below 4000 for getting seat in CSE and 6000 below for all other Braches. My motive for enrolling in this program is to explore all current new industry trends.

We have faculty which is good and experienced and all of them are minimum 10 years' experience in teaching expect assistant teachers and they are all from PhDs and they do publish lot of papers and journals and have their own patents. Teaching style differs from teacher to teacher some teachers explain topics with examples and some teachers explain topic in depth and some explain the concept till which is mandatory for us. But I am satisfied with their explanation. But I want the topics to be discussed in depth and syllabus and curriculum includes only basics which makes students not much interest in the subjects we learn if we don't know in depth.

Yes, we do have Placement Cell in our college called CDC. We have very good placement cell where diff companies visit our college like Barclays, Providence, JP Morgan, Qualcomm, Oracle etc. And every talented and educated student can expect a CTC on average 6-8 on their performance for sure. The largest package offered in our college is by service sector with a package of 41.6 lakhs. So, it is very added on advantage and helpful students for job purposes instead of searching off campus.

We do have all academic blocks for each branch and there are also some blocks especially for juniors so that they are not being ragged. Our college is anti-ragging campus college. Our college has good infrastructure for labs, and we do have projectors etc. Some of the chemical etc. labs are a bit too old, but they are being renovated.

Our campus has different academic and non-academic clubs. We do have nation wise clubs like MUN club etc. which will be very helpful to improve your communication and personal skills and membership in that club helps you to give recognition for international clubs. There are cultural feasts which will be conducted for a week every year. And they have technical sessions and hackathons are conducted in our college which are useful for students.
