St. Joseph's College of Engineering has 14,91,000 square feet area with world class facilities which provides excellent academic life experience to students. The college houses around 140 classrooms that have all required and modern teaching aids like LCD projectors, internet facility, etc. Moreover, facilities that are provided to students at SJCOE Chennai are:

• Library: A central library which is fully air-conditioned and spacious contains around 46000+ volumes of books, 16000+ titles, 100+ national journals, 800+ e-journals, 1000+ e-books, etc. A theatre and a seminar hall are attached with the central library and each has a seating space for around 319 students. Digital library subscribes to MALIBNET & DELNET and also provides access to NPTEL videos.
• Laboratories: A computer center at the college is equipped with a number of PCs and adequate furniture for sitting. There are various other fully developed departmental labs such as:

• Hostel: Separate fully furnished hostels are available for boys and girls and each has 2 blocks. Laundromat facility, intercom facility, newspapers, etc are available at hostels.
• Mess: The College houses a spacious mess which serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to students according to their choice. The mess has separate seating facilities for males and females and also for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinners are served to day scholars and hostellers.
• Sports: A Sports Village with an area of around 30 acres of land is available for conducting sports activities. The campus has playgrounds for ball badminton, basketball, cricket, hockey, kabaddi, tennis, volleyball, football, etc. Moreover, an indoor stadium is also available which has 2+ indoor badminton courts, 2+ table tennis courts, indoor volleyball court, etc. Separate gym for male and females with all basic and advanced equipments is available.
• Medical Facilities: Round the clock medical services are facilitated for students in the medical center of the college which is equipped with around 10 beds. A medical officer and nurse are available to render health care services. Along with this, free medical treatment is provided to students in SJCOE medical dispensary.
• Auditorium: There is an indoor auditorium which has a 35000 square feet area that has all modern amenities like sound system and excellent lighting, etc. Here, various college events are conducted and it is also used by students to play indoor games like badminton, table tennis, etc.
• Halls: There is audio-visual hall, board meeting hall, and conference halls which are fully air-conditioned and have adequate furniture. The Conference Hall is equipped with modern technology aids like LCD projectors, etc. This place is used to host activities like guest lectures, seminars, etc.
