South Asian University

The University has established a Centre for Entrepreneurship and Training & Placements (CETP) that is dedicated to nurturing students to become competent professionals. The cell has established numerous industry-academia partnerships to bridge the gap between students and the corporate world.

Additionally, the students are facilitated with internship opportunities so that they gain an exposure of the practical world and are prepared for the South Asian University Placement drives.

SAU New Delhi has a huge campus that is spread over an area of approximately 100 acres of land. The classrooms and lecture halls of the University are equipped with advanced teaching-learning aids including smart interactive boards & digital presentation systems for interactive learning sessions.

Students are provided round the clock access to Wi-Fi connectivity across the South Asian University Campus so that they can utilise the same for uninterrupted learning. To ensure student discipline and safety, the University has CCTVs around the campus and employed security guards.

The other major amenities offered to the students enrolled at the South Asian University are discussed in detail below:

• Library: The University Library named ‘Prof. G K Chadha Library’ has a huge collection of educational resources like books, journals, periodicals, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, CDs / DVDs, etc. in print and digital formats. The reading room of the library has an adequate accommodation capacity wherein students and faculty members can study without any disturbance.
  Additionally, there is a Cyber Centre at the library wherein multiple workstations with Internet connection are available so that students can access the online learning resources. Moreover, the library memberships include DELNET, National Archives of India (NAI), and National Digital Library (NDL), to name a few.
• Laboratories: There are many Computer Labs at the South Asian University that provide computing facilities to the students for enhancing their learning efficiency. Other than this, various other hi-tech departmental laboratories are present within the campus to bridge the gap between students’ theoretical & practical knowledge. The labs include:
  • Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) Lab
  • Labs for Mathematics
  • Industrial Biotechnology Lab
  • Laboratory for Data Science & Analytics (LDSA)
• Auditorium: There are multiple auditoriums at the premises having varied seating capacities. These are equipped with the latest AV aids like projectors, speakers, etc. and are used for hosting various academic & non-academic events.
• Cafeteria: The South Asian University has a cafeteria with huge seating capacity. Here, students are served with different types of meals & snacks at an economical rate.
• Hostel: The University provides on-campus accommodation facilities to the students. The South Asian University Hostel rooms are offered to students on a sharing basis and are equipped with requisite amenities. Other facilities available for the residents include mess, common rooms, fitness centres, and the list continues.
• Sports: Inside the premises, Grounds are available for outdoor sports like Cricket, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and more. In addition to this, an indoor Badminton Court and dedicated spaces are there for Carom, Table Tennis, Chess, and so on.
• Medical Facilities: At SAU University, there is a Health Centre wherein a medical professional is available for providing healthcare services to the students.
• Other Facilities: Convention Centre, Amphitheatre, Swimming Pool, ‘Grocery & Consumer Self Service Store’, Gymnasium, Multi-Purpose Hall, ‘FSI Hall’, and much more are available at the University.
