SRHU Dehradun Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Dehradun provides separate top-notch accommodation facilities to the boys and girls with a safe & secure atmosphere. The University offers on-campus hostels to the residents with top-notch amenities to provide them a home-away-from-home environment.

SRHU Dehradun has built about 8 hostels which can accommodate around 2366 students collectively. It is necessary to maintain discipline within the SRHU Dehradun hostel premises, so students must follow the rules & regulations set by the authorities of the University. Some of hostel rules are listed below:

• Activities like ragging, bullying, fighting, etc. are strictly prohibited within the hostel premises.
• Students should not be found involved in gambling, betting or any other such activities which come under punishable offence.
• Boys are not allowed to enter inside the girls’ hostel without getting permission from the competent authority and vice-versa.
• Wilful damage to the hostel property such as furniture, fixtures, walls, etc. is not allowed, otherwise the authorities may expel the student.
• Consuming any intoxicating items like alcohol, drugs, narcotics, etc. is banned for the students residing in the hostels.
• Hostellers should not possess or use firearms and any lethal weapons.
• Students are not allowed to use their mobile phones at a high volume that can disturb other hostellers.
• Residents are forbidden from engaging in any form of commercial activity, including product promotion, vending, and lottery, etc.
• Residents are not allowed to make any nuisance or use any type of foul language.

The University offers separate on-campus accommodation facilities to boys and girls with adequate amenities. Moreover, around 8 hostels are present at SRHU Dehradun Campus out of which 4 are for girls & 3 for boys and that can collectively accommodate approximately 2366 students. The boys’ and girls’ hostels have an accommodation capacity of about 888 and nearly 1394 students, respectively.

Additionally, SRHU Dehradun hostel namely, ‘F-Type’ is available for married students with an accommodation capacity of nearly 84 people. Along with this, the University has allocated rooms for non-medical girls’ across multiple blocks; Block A contains around 111 rooms, while Block B has about 68 rooms.
