Academic Facilities

The College has built approximately 53 classrooms or lecture halls and few of them contain digital teaching facilities like multimedia projectors, screen, etc. to support both traditional & modern learning methods. Inside the premises, there are nearly 7 tutorial rooms and around 2 drawing halls with a seating capacity of 60 students in each one. A conducive learning space is provided to the students through these academic facilities which enhance their overall academic experience.

At RRCE Bangalore campus, there is a spacious auditorium with multimedia projector, screen, white boards & other audio-video facilities and it can accommodate more than 350 people at once. It is used for hosting engaging events like cultural programs, convocation, orientation, and other large-scale gatherings.

Apart from this, around 7 seminar halls with their seating arrangement ranging from nearly 100 to 180 students are available in the academic departments of the College. In the premises, numerous conference halls / rooms are present including ‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Conference Hall’ and one of them has an accommodation capacity of 350+ students. These seminar & conference halls are used for hosting academic meetings, conferences, guest lectures, interviews, and other formal academic events.

Also, a 3000-seater ACS convention centre, board rooms, and other spaces are available at the College.

• Library: There is a central library (Library and Information Center) at Rajarajeswari College of Engineering campus that covers a total area of around 1628 square meters & contains a reading hall with a capacity of over 260 students, discussion rooms, photocopier section, periodical section, reference section, etc. The central library has a wide collection of academic materials including over 35,168 volumes, 86+ National & International journals, etc.
  For advanced academic & research purposes, students can use the PCs available in the digital library to access Knimbus, Turnitin, Net Analytiks-Sentenia, Mendeley, and other online platforms. Other than this, the College has nearly 11 departmental libraries at the campus to provide course-specific resources to the students.
• Laboratories: The College focuses on enhancing the technological skills of the students by providing practical knowledge & skills to them and for that, they have set up nearly 30 computer centres / labs with a seating capacity of around 20 to 60 people.
  Experiential learning is promoted at the College by providing required hands-on experience to the students through their fully-equipped laboratories. Some of the labs are Data Structure lab, Environmental lab, Engineering Chemistry lab, Geology lab, Language lab, and Heat Conversion lab.

Non-Academic Facilities

Stationary & xerox centre, common rooms separately for boys & girls, parking area, swimming pool, and a few other recreational facilities are present in the College’s premises for the students.

Detailed information about the remaining recreational facilities of the College is given below:

• Sports: Students can indulge in different sports activities & tournaments of the College and adequate amenities for the same are provided in the campus. There are Football Ground, Cemented Basketball Court, Throwball Court, Kabaddi Court, Handball Ground, Cricket pitches for net practice, Volleyball Court, and other amenities for outdoor games. For indoor games, the College has a sports room containing Chess & Carrom and a Table Tennis hall.
• Hostel: There are separate accommodation buildings for male & female students inside the premises. At Rajarajeswari College of Engineering Hostels, around 83 rooms for boys & nearly 91 for girls are present which can accommodate approximately 445 students in total. The College ensures that residents’ gets essential facilities in the hostels including rooms in single & sharing basis with attached washrooms, mess / dining hall, common room, on-call doctors for medical assistance, water coolers, etc.
• Cafeteria: Students can fulfill their dietary needs through the available cafeteria and canteens including ‘Nescafe Coffee Corner’, ‘RRCE Juice & Chats’, and others. Adequate indoor seating space is there in the canteen / cafeteria and the menu includes numerous South Indian, North Indian & Chinese cuisines.
• Transportation: Multiple buses are present to pick & drop the day scholars from Rajarajeswari College of Engineering campus to the respective pick-up points and students can avail the transportation facility by paying the specified charges.
• Healthcare Facility: In order to provide medical aid to the students, the College has set up a health centre in the premises. For extended care, students are referred to ‘Medical College and Hospital’ (RRMCH) and ‘RajaRajeswari Dental College and Hospital’ (RRDC) that are located near the campus.
• Gymnasium: The College has set up a multi-gym hall with nearly 12 station equipment for both boys and girls so that they can do regular workout & exercise.
