Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences Bangalore is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. The college was established in the year 1993 and is approved by the Dental Council of India. Since the day of its establishment, the main aim of the college is to provide students with an excellent education, research, and train them for patient care and community services. The college trains students to become skilled clinical professionals having the ability to provide high-quality care for patients and communities. Situated 21 kms away from the hassle of the Bangalore city, the college campus is in a healthy and serene environment. It aims to provide students with the best education in the field of dental care and oral surgery.
KCDS offers both UG and PG courses to its students and a Certificate course in Dental Implantology. To take admission in the UG course of the college, candidates must have a minimum age of 17 years and should pass a 10+2 examination conducted by any state board. Candidates must have secured 55% marks or more in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with Biotech combined. For admissions to PG courses candidates must have a BDS degree from a recognized dental college and completed their internship. NEET PG cutoff scores merit the candidates in the selection process for admission.
Students must follow the rules and regulations of the college maintaining the required percentage of attendance which must be above 80% in theory and practical respectively to give the semester and final examination.
KCDS is achieving new milestones in the field of dental education and oral surgery with every step taken the college has never looked back. KCDS is considered as one of the best dental colleges in Bangalore, maintaining its reputation in the city and competing with other dental colleges. In 2018, India Today ranked it 32nd in the list of best Dental colleges in India. The college also received three gold medals in the 2017 RGUHS convocation ceremony. The KCDS Library is a storage facility of data for students to exploit. A tremendous accumulation of Indian and International standard reading material and journals are accessible for their utilization. The computerized area of the library gives access to E-Journals.
