Brainware University Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Kolkata

Brainware University hostels are available for students doing a full-time course. Both boys and girls hostels are available. The final-year hosteller who has left the hostel can stay as guests during the period of their university exams. All such students are required to submit a written permission from the hostel administration. Guardians can visit their wards between 7:30AM - 7:30PM. Their meetings can take place in the hostel lobby. Meeting outside the time slots can happen only with a written permission from the hostel administrator.

A female student's mother and sister are allowed to visit her hostel room, and a male student's mother and father are allowed to visit his hostel room. Guardians cannot stay in the hostel room at night without the authorities' approval. Brainware University hostel rooms are spacious and comfortable. Cleaning of washrooms and toilets happens once a day.

Brainware University hostel food is of good quality and taste. A standard menu is followed. Hygienic working standards are followed in the hostel mess. Canteens are available for the students. Meals are available at the service counters of the dining hall.

Brainware University hostel rules include:

• Students cannot leave the hostel premises without the permission of the authorities.
• Any form of discrimination is not allowed.
• Students must not engage in ragging.
• Students must not waste hostel food.
• Hostellers can leave the hostel premises on weekends only after signing the register at the university gate.
• Female students have to return to the hostel before 7:30PM, and male students have to return to the hostel before 8:00PM.
• Students who wish to stay out overnight must sign the 'Night-out' register.
• Boys who wish to go home on Sundays and other holidays can leave between 5:30AM to 8:00PM. Girls can leave between 5:30AM to 6:30PM. They have to make entry in the register present at the university gate. On returning, they should sign a similar logbook.
• Hostellers must keep the hostel premises clean.
• If any hosteller falls sick, then medical facilities will be available to them. These costs will be covered by their guardian. If any hosteller gets affected by some contagious disease, their guardian must temporarily withdraw them from the hostel premises.
• Pasting obscene pictures and scratching nails on the walls is not allowed.
• Spitting on the hostel walls is not allowed.
• Students must not write on the hostel walls.
• Students must abstain from using abusive language on the hostel premises.
• Students must refrain from gambling on the hostel premises.
• Students must abstain from cooking in the hostel.
• Hostellers must not keep any unauthorized person or day scholar in their hostel room.
• Students cannot stay in the hostel during vacations.
• Students cannot carry plates into their hostel rooms.
• Students must not request for meals at odd hours.
