The Karnavati University campus is spread over a lush green land of approximately 33 acres. The premise is 24/7 secured by trained security guards and also through CCTV surveillance. Apart from this, at the Karnavati University, the other major facilities available for students are library, laboratories, auditoriums, seminar halls, cafeteria, sports, hostel, and several others.
Students enrolled at the University are provided with Wi-Fi connectivity at all academic buildings and common areas so that they can seamlessly access the Internet for academic purposes and expand their knowledge. Within the premise, there are ample classrooms & lecture halls which are equipped with latest ICT-enabled teaching aids including desktops / laptops, LCD, smart boards, etc. to provide innovative teaching experience to the students.
At the Karnavati University campus, there are numerous seminar halls and conference rooms which have advanced audio-video facilities. At these venues, different academic and co-curricular events like guest lectures, conferences, presentations, seminars, and more are conducted.
The University has 2 auditoriums namely ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Auditorium’ and ‘Swami Vivekananda Auditorium’ for hosting mega-events. These are of varied seating capacities and well-equipped with centralised AC and advanced AV aids including projector, speakers, lighting, and others. Some other amenities include a moot court, amphitheatre, demonstration rooms, book shops, and the list continues.
Following are the major facilities that students are offered by the University:
- Library: The University has a central library and various other departmental libraries within the campus. The central library is automated, and has a reading / discussion room with an accommodation capacity of more than 200 students. The library is well-stacked with ample study materials like approximately 29,604 books, 900 bound volumes, 100 print periodicals, more than 1,22,000 e-books, 25,000 e-journals, and 2500+ thesis & dissertations. Other than this, journals, magazines, newspapers, reference books, CDs & DVDs, etc. are also available.
There is a 100-node Cyber lab at the library wherein students can access the e-library using Wi-Fi connection. The University has subscribed to various learning databases like Manupatra, EBSCO, J-Gate, JSTOR, DELNET, INFLIBNET, e-Shodhganga, e-ShodhSindhu, and more. Other services include reference, inter-library loan, reprographic (printing & photocopying), etc.
- Laboratories: Inside the Karnavati University Ahmedabad campus, there are more than 45 technologically advanced labs and workshops. The PCs at the computer labs are well-equipped with the latest hardware & software.
At the departmental labs like Digital Design lab, Robotics & Automation lab, Mechatronics lab, Fabrication lab, etc., hi-tech equipment are available to provide experiential learning to students.
- Sports: For students, outdoor sports infrastructure like Cricket Ground, Football Field, Basketball Court, Badminton Court, Handball Court, Volleyball Court, etc. are present within the Karnavati University campus. For indoor sports, Badminton Courts, and facilities for Carrom, Table Tennis, and others are available.
- Hostels: The male & female students of the University are provided with separate residential facilities inside and outside campus. The Karnavati University Hostel rooms are air-conditioned, fully-furnished with adequate amenities, and are offered on a sharing basis.
Mess facilities are available for the residents wherein they are served with healthy and tasty meals. The other amenities available for the boarders include 24*7 security, study rooms, Wi-Fi connection, and medical services, to name a few.
- Cafeteria: There are multiple canteens, cafeterias, and refreshment areas present within different locations of the premises including 2 main cafeterias named ‘AntiClock’ and ‘ClockWise’. At these eateries, students are served with a wide variety of nutritious vegetarian snacks, meals, and beverages. The food items are prepared under proper hygienic conditions.
- Transportation: The University owns a fleet of AC buses that travel at various routes of the city and nearby areas to provide daily pickup & drop facilities to the students. Other than this, the buses are also available for travelling to other venues for University’s academic purposes.
- Healthcare Facilities: A well-equipped ‘Medical Centre’ is available inside the University’s campus wherein consultations, first-aid, impatient, outpatient, emergency care, routine check-ups, and other such medical facilities are available for the students.
These medical services are provided by experienced Doctors & Nurses to the students. Apart from this, round the clock ambulance service is available so that students can be transferred to nearby Hospitals in emergency cases.
- Gymnasium: At the gymnasium of the University, ample advanced training and weight-lifting equipment are available for the students.
- Banking: The University provides banking and postal services to the students.
The University has formed various clubs for the students so that they can become a member of the desired one and develop the necessary lifelong skills. Also, in order to maintain decorum & discipline in the Karnavati University Gandhinagar campus, and to address & resolve students’ issues, various committees are also available.
