The St. Xavier's College Ranchi campus occupies a vast land area of about 29.8 acres. There are around 4 buildings present on-campus which are known as ‘Main Building’, ‘Gym & Research Building, etc. along with separate hostel blocks.
These buildings incorporate a wide variety of scholastic & non-scholastic facilities including libraries, classrooms, gymnasium, departmental laboratories, conference rooms, and many others for the students enrolled at the St. Xavier's College Ranchi.
The well-maintained campus of the College comprises ‘Main Building’, ‘Vocational & Management Building’, ‘B.Ed & Humanities Building’, and ‘Gym & Research Building’. Besides this, there are about 3 separate boys hostel blocks available as well. More than 79 Wi-Fi enabled classrooms are there inside the St. Xavier's College Ranchi campus with advanced digital facilities to create a more dynamic & effective learning atmosphere.
A ‘Fr. C. De. Brouwer Memorial Auditorium’ is there to host several debates, cultural events, seminars, etc. and it is equipped with AV tools like sound systems, projectors, and others. Along with this, over 4 seminar halls / rooms are available including ‘Fr. Proost Seminar Hall’ and others for numerous purposes.
Besides this, the St. Xavier's College Ranchi campus comprises several conference rooms / halls, xerox centre, studio, parking area, and the list continues with many other amenities.
The details about various essential facilities that are present on-campus are stated below:
- Library: A central library is available for the students inside the College campus and within the same over 1,71,400 books, 100+ National & International periodicals, and many other such study materials are present. Also, e-learning resources like 140+ e-books, 15+ journals, etc. can be accessed by the students 24/7 from anywhere using their login details. Within the library, an extensive range of facilities are available including photocopy service, reading room, reference section, and the list goes on.
The College campus also comprises a library inside the Dr. Fr. Camil Bulcke Research Centre, PG Library, and around 22 departmental libraries.
- Laboratories: Within the St Xavier College Ranchi campus, multiple computer labs with a large number of systems are available so that students can acquire hands-on experience related to their subject-matter. Besides this, approximately 32 labs are present in various departments including Geography, Chemistry, Physics, and others. The departmental laboratories which are available to provide practical learning experience to the students includes a Language lab, Chemistry lab, Bioinformatics lab, and many others.
- Sports: The College offers both types of sports amenities to the students including outdoor & indoor so that they can indulge in their choice of games for their overall growth. A large playground of around 6000 square meters is there for games like Cricket & Football which is equipped with floodlights and has a seating capacity of about 650 students. Besides this, around 2 Basketball Courts, 1 Volleyball Court, and other facilities for outdoor games are available.
Also, a dedicated room is present on-campus which features a wide variety of top-notch amenities for indoor games like Chess, Billiards, TT, and others.
- Hostel: There are 3 hostel blocks available at the College campus including A, B, and C to offer residential facilities to over 350 male students. At the St. Xavier's College Ranchi Hostels, single, double, and quadruple bedded rooms are present with a bed, chair, study table, etc. While staying at the College hostels, residents will be facilitated with mess, 24/7 security, and several other such facilities.
- Cafeteria: Inside the St. Xavier's College Ranchi campus, around 3 spacious & well-maintained food outlets are present including ‘Amul Café’, ‘Green Chilli’ with around 180 seating capacity, and ‘Canteen’. These eateries serve Continental, South Indian, etc. food items along with a diverse range of snacks & beverages for the students.
- Medical Facilities: The College campus features a clinic & infirmary with medical staff and requisite facilities like beds, wheel chairs, etc. Students can consult with the available medical professionals in case of any injury or other health related problems.
- Gymnasium: A gymnasium covering a vast area of about 3000 square feet is there on-campus which consists of various free weights, cardio machines, and others so that students can workout regularly to keep their mind & body healthy & fit.
- Banking: There is a branch of ‘Punjab National Bank (PNB)’ and an ATM within the St. Xavier's College Ranchi campus.
The College authorities have set up multiple clubs which help students with their academics as well as personality development so that they can become well-rounded individuals.
